Paging Gimpy
...hey mang...I'm going to be up your neck of the woods on Sunday and I hear there's still skiing up at some little unknown out of the way area called Carson Pass / Roundtop. Do you have any recent beta on Crescent? Did Carson eek any snow out of that little front that came through last week? If Crescent is doable, I'd be down to give it a shot.....but if not.....well, then flume trail is calling....

hey mang. i skied the sisters and roundtop shoulder on monday and there was nice smooth corn there. you do have to hike all the way to winnemucca w/ skiis on your back though but its only an hour till snow. they did get a couple inches that was still kinda wet powder on monday but i'll bet its corned nicely. and the new snow did make crescent look a helluva lot smoother then when kellie and i did it a month or so ago. the lookers left off-chute looked good too. in other words.....GO GIT IT. i backed off it cause i was solo w/ buddy but it's definately still skiablethough the top choke can't be cheated into anymore. gimme a call sat night if you go cause shasta is up in the air. everyone else bailed cept me and kellie so we need at least a 3rd to keep my wife happy. i was hoping to see lph and hardrider there that day but i never saw them.

cool thanks for the beta. I'll be up in the area Saturday night and Sunday 'cause Mrs. Shoe is doing the bike around the lake thing....and because I'm not about to ride 90 miles or whatever the heck it is around the lake on my mountain bike....it's either go mountain biking somewhere up there Sunday, or head to the pass and see if Crescent is a go.....
....so you have to hike all the way to Winnemucca Lake? Shiat....if I go, and I'm bootin that far anyways, I might as well bring the full alpine set-up.....
...and I suppose that sucker ain't seeing the sun until the late afternoon huh?

that would be a year to the day we had that big outing there when Rev was in town, good times.
if you do crescent, be careful man, it will also be a year to the day that it claimed it's last victim.
gimpy, i never woke up that day, slept in from being on call the night before and hr found out late that evening he actually had to work on memorial day?!

If it doesn't happen for you this weekend Gimpy, I've still got a spot in my truck for next weekend at Shastice (6/12).

Hey Nater, if you do skip Lassen this coming weekend, what say you for a trip to Lassen with me and Lego on June 18-20? Let me know...or I'll email you...Originally posted by Telenater
