Blackcomb - Corona - April 30th
Dear Ullr,
Thanks for the powder day on my birthday. Thanks for the nice light cold powder. Here are some pictures we took.
shirk
van_skier with some mid winter type snow.
forest harvesting the late April corn...er wait we havn't had any corn yet this season.
Is Coastal schmoooo snow supposed to leave that trail behind the skier like that?
Maybe by my next birthday I'll learn to not drop my inside hand.

Happy b-day Shirk! Not the greatest quality, but I managed a few photos yesterday in between face shots. The last couple days at Blackcomb have been un-fucking-real. Mid winter pow in almost May!
Husume after the raping and pillaging. It was a full on rando race to the top. Boot packers vs. Skinners. Awesome.
Czech Peter straightlining Don't Swill
RugbyDave popping his cherry on the spine launcher off the upper section of Don't Swill in zero vis. nice work my friend.
still going...
Powder11 takes a break from behind the camera to grab some face shots
this one sums up pretty much every turn for the last two days because nobody is here!
I'd like to thanks and dedicate this thread to all those who bailed on the season and went home

FKNA for you guys, now let some of that white stuff make it over to the rockies. I'm not a fan of the melt, freeze, stay frozen deal right now.

I really hope the snow stays consistent for this coming weekend. I'd love a little late season pow action. Stupid exams the past few days!

You will need to tour for it. Inbounds is tracked out and the slackcountry got hit good yesterday. I can only assume the close stuff that didn't get skied yesterday will be seeing tracks today and tomorrow.
The place is empty, but those that are around are skiing the goods.

yeah i think so. that we can start at like 5am rather than wait till blackcomb patrol opens the gates at 11am.
figure it takes about 5hours to get to the hut.
once your their getting up to parkhurst looks like mellow glacier skinning. Probably take 1.5 hours to get to the top of the glacier. From there it looks like a long traverse on parkhurst till you hit that massive couloir, chute, bowl whatever you want to call it. hopefully do it early afternoon before it gets too warm
