Exclamation TR: The 2008 North American LongBoard Invitational, presented by Le Internationale

That's right bitches. It's LongBoard Day in the PNW. We don't need any of that stuff called sunshine or some reference to a lame point of altitude. This is skiing in it's most pure unadulterated, um, okay adulterated form. At our favorite little ski area, the unofficial home of recyled ski wear year round. The only problem this year was the availability of snow. La Nina kept up her trademark slutness by delivering more powdered blowjobs than a Paris Hilton-Lindsay Lohan convention.

    Soundtracks available for each chapter:
    (and presented in THX Stereo)

Intro: The lovely and very sensual Chaka Khan

Last week brought not ONE but TWO weather holds.

One of our presenting sponsors, La Nina, decided to rush a late season powder express package to the Cascades.
This in turn caused our guest celebrities Mike Hattrup and Darren Johnson
to bail and ski pow. So we followed.

    April 19th Weather Day ©

    April 20th Weather Day ©

The Board Members reconvened and finally proclaimed fat skis suck.
And Long Board Day was established on this 27th Day of April in the year Two Mutha Fuggin 8.

    Chapter 2

    Hot Dog

Rudy told us we couldn't ski Elevator Shaft.
The Rat Pack promptly told him he could kiss our ass.

    Peeforward ignores the warnings

The Rat Pack begs to differ

The Elevator Shaft got tapped all day

And almost collected a few casualities

Rudy - Sunny Side Up & DOwn

Zbo took Sunnyside up and took her down the Elevator Shaft.

    Talking Chapter Tres

It then became time to search for our inner License to Thrill

If Red Bull gives you wings, what can Long Boards do?

    Northway wants to find out

SorryBro scores with the Chair2 crowd

Darren Johnson’s stand in double- Greydon Clark is cleared for takeoff

Northway proves the old boards race like new

Sensing some approaching Xtremism, I drag Northway and PeeForward to the Airplane Chute

Peeforward wondering if the longboards will make it through

    Northway finds the hole

Shin gets a scare in Rockface – watch the last skier take out the tree well!

    Zbo finds the shaft

Squirrel99 makes a rare blinding appearance in front of the lense

If that didn’t blind your eyes, let Mofro261 take care of that for you

Northface, I mean, Northway spouting off

Can anyone compete with Zbo’s radGnar?

The sad thing is that Squirrel99 actually competed in this event

    Look Ma, no hands!

    Alpen Chronic

    Mofro261 stuck in the 80’s

Heat kept the Upper Gates closed today – but it didn’t stop One Piece Greydon from enjoying his favourite trail

Camp Shin-to-Win must be within reach

Drinking wine from a glass is far too classy. We decided the plastic white zinfedel bottles were more appropriate

    Classic Nash

    Followed by the Chuting Gallery

And now, a solo performed by Mofro261

Thank you PNW, SEE YOU in 2009!

The TR has been updated to include those important Star Linebackers who were on the DL this year...

Oh, and btw - each segment's musical features has been carefully selected to fit both the stills and home movies!

Ah yeah, feelin' it Internationale style.

Nice fuggin write up, it feels almost like I was there-I was enjoying the LB's so much the camera barely came out. By the 3rd run my longboard muscle memory returned along with the late April memories of hop turning in parboiled mank. But The Shaft held up well all day.

Thanks to all who participated to make LBD 2008 such a success, and another thanks to Shin-to-Win for styling the longboard hook ups.

Start looking for LBD 2009 skis and apparel soon and no excuses next year!

    PROPA! RESPECT

Full on LBD destruction. Way to kill it with the videos I only had three and they didn't really turn out (sorry Zap). Also, videographic evidence that gredon makes p-turns? I had no idea, I'm proud and disturbed all at the same time.

Holy shit though I was really disappointed that it was an actual shot from the movie hotdog and not you guys recreating that shot, maybe next year.

    Nice work everyone.

If I known you'd be drinking White Zin I'd absolutely have dragged my ass up there. Rather than spend my weekend being splattered with various shades of interior flat latex paint.

    Also.

During our recent trip to see Mrs Brits family in L.A. i had the chance to visit with the De Tomaso Pantera that I'm bequeathed by her Grand Father.

As soon as the old boy falls out of his rocker I'll be raffling off the co-drivers seat for the blast up PCH to Seattle. However a question for the LBD rules committee would turning up with a ski rack on a Pantera allow the driver modern ski privileges for the day?
