I was scrolling through your TR and was about to give you hard time because last year you skied bumps.... Then I saw this:

Next year we'll both be reminiscing about the Jane, as I just accepted a job in Crested Butte!

    Hey Phil,

It got pretty warm up here today, surface temp hit 60, air temp 40 as you may have seen on NWAC. The visible snow line on rampart looks like it's about 4000 ft and it's started to snow again. Nice meeting you last weekend, we'll watch for you Sat/Sun...

I'll probably be wearing different clothes than last weekend

Now stevens or alpy. Alpy got more. Stevens stayed cold. Choices choices...

Looks like a great day everyone! Wish I could have joined you--I suspect me on 210s would have been quite comical.

Well done. These longboard TR's have finally convinced me that skiing and drinking do go well together. Hilarity.

Nice TR! Hehe, I actually did see a couple of you guys out there, I just didn't recognize you for some odd reason

Definitely a good day for longboards, those bumps felt a WHOLE lot bigger than what's in those pics!!!

Finally getting around to thanking Z-BO for the introductions and invite to the parking lot festivities, he spotted me in the lift line drooling on Mofros Chicken Hearts and called me out. It was my first time to Alpy and all I have to say is Elevator Shaft Proper is the shit!
My late season illness and general lack of conditioning kept me from embarrassing myself by trying to hang out with these guys so I spent the day exploring the mountain, ran into a couple of other guys from Wenatchee and had a couple of runs with them before I decided to really kill my legs and switch to tele gear for the afternoon. Late in the day I spotted a line of guys headed out to the BC but I was shot for the day and decided that it would have to wait till next season.
There is no way I'm missing LBD next year and will make plans to have a whole crew from the East side to represent. Thanks again, it was a great day to end the season with.

    Bump.

Are modern 210cm+ DH or SG raceroom skis acceptable for longboard day? They are going for pretty cheap on ebay with bindings.

In a weird way I've always wished I had an excuse to buy a pair of DH skis.

Plus then I can detune the fuck out of the edges and maybe get a day or two in on them to try and figure them out.
