Shuttle Ideas
So we're trying to think of an alternative way to get to and from the put in, being as how gas is getting so expensive. Anybody ever tried to make a trailer to be pulled behind a scooter? Beuller? Beuller? Any ideas?

I'm not really following. Why do you need to haul a trailer behind the scooter? Put the scooter in the back of a truck and you can run shuttle with only one guy/vehicle: Drop off all paddlers and gear(including yours) at the put-in, then drive to the take-out, drop the vehicle off and ride the scooter back to the put-in.

Ok, I'll add a bit more. Yet again, one of my buddies asked me to ask the maggot collective. He was looking at making the Vespa(ish) scooter his primary means of transportation. Hence, to the takeout/put-in, he would want to somehow use the scooter to transport his boat/paddle/gear. Hope that clarifies.

welded rack - here's a cheapass honda with a surfboard rack (could fit 2x boards on it) - wouldn't be hard to make it wider for a kayak, but the balance could be a bit weirder. Add a milk crate for paddle gear. If you know a welder it could be done pretty cheap.
