TR: Uneva Peak 4/19/08
So the wife and I had several options on Saturday. We thought about doing a tour with Pappa G, Coloskier, and Telehoar. We thought about doing Silver Coolie off of Buff. We finally decided we could sleep longer and be home sooner just doing a line off of Uneva.
We started skinning around 7:15ish, this was the objective:
It was 23 degrees and the snow was firm: the Gore thru the trees
The objective again:
Some shadow stoke:
Mrs. Montanaskier...way ahead of me as always:
At the saddle: the back side of Uneva
More northside:
Up the ridge a bit further:
Mr and Mrs at the saddle:
Looking across to Shrine Pass and the bowl
Holy Cross:
Looking down our line:
The Mrs. in the chute:
slayed!
Overall it was a very nice morning in the mtns. We hit the summit at 9:15ish and the snow was still firm, could have waited an hour to ski but the winds were brutal at the summit. Spent our afternoon on a deck in the village drinking beer in 63 degree temps! GREAT DAY!!!!ROLL TIDE ROLL
