Shmoe,
Go south on I-15 till you get to the bangeter highway exit, jump off there and go east over I-15. Stay on bangeter. Go past the new harmons they are building, through the new stoplight they are building and the existing one at 13800 south. Follow the road up the hill. If you stay on bangeter extension you can't miss the Chevron. If you make it to suncrest, not only did you go to far, but you should have your eyes checked!
FWIW, I can see the chevron from my house. This is the worst pain EVER!

Tools would be nice, but Draper bought us a bunch of tools. I will check with Steve tonight and repost, but I think we have access to the tools for tomorrow.
Sorry for the late notice by the way. We walked parts of the trail and got permission to begin building certain sections tomorrow. The rest of the trail should be flagged soon (end of the week [fingers crossed]). For the next build day, we will post with more advance notice.
See you guys in the morning.

This trail is going to be so flowy and smooth when we are done with it. Today we dug out trail and built up birms in a natural 1/2 pipe section of the trail (Think bobsled style). It as hard to not go grab the bike and try the section out, but I knew better. There is no way in hell I could have dragged my bike all the way back uphill to the cars, so unfortunatly, we were unable to test the flow of it...but it looks sweet!

Yeah, sorry about the lack of notice. We didnt get the go ahead until Friday night at about 6:00. I posted as soon as I found out. We were just stoked to dig. We will get the remainder of the trail flagged and approved by the Draper City Officials. After that, we will post a work day with more notice to get more people out.
Lonnie and Shmoe, great to meet you guys and thanks for the help. This trail will be sweet when completed.
I'll get with Steve to get some legal trail stoke on.Last edited by drboudreaux; 04-19-2008 at 05:15 PM. Reason: ...

Damn, just seeing this. More notice will get a lot more of us out there. Is Draper cool with people working on the trail in the evenings once it's flagged? If so, we will get this one done very quickly I would think. Since this is a public trail, we should look at getting the entrance filter in ASAP to hopefully prevent anything from going wrong while in the construction phase. Just a thought."People blame me because these water mains break, but I ask you, if the
water mains didn't break, would it be my responsibility to fix them then?
WOULD IT!?!"

Gents, thanks for your help on such short notice. I'm stoked about this trail and what the guys at Draper City are letting us do.
Jailbreak... I like it, Lonnie! Nice name for the trail. Man, haven't heard Thin Lizzy in a while. Too funny!
As the good doc has said, once we get the flagging done and approved we can build. I think there will be opportunity to dig in evenings, maybe once we get things flagged we can section off bits of the trail for those of us who have a few extra hours that we can dig. We'll work all that out.
The 'tentative' first WAFTA build day will be May 3rd. We hope to flag this week, get it approved, and that will probably take all this week and maybe some of next. Anyway, keep that in mind as you're making your plans.
Cheers -
Steve

Bummed I missed the first day, but I'll definitely make some time to be out there and help.
