cant decide on skis .... please help?

hey everyone i have been looking for a all mountain do everything ski i would consider my self an aggresive/advanced skier im 6'3" 215lbs. i would like an all mountain ski with a little flex that are fun to play with but not to much that they wobble at speeds. Also i need them to be able to handle some park use.

i would say i ski about

30 percent deep powder my favorite type to ski just hard to find in my area.

    30 percent crud

20 percent park am improving in this area and would like to continue to get better in the park

    20 groomers

i have narrowed my search to 4 skis

    armada arv

    4frnt msp

    line prophet 90 or 100?

    k2 seth

please take time to read this and comment thank you and i look forward to hearing your opinions

I have skiied the Prophet 90's, MSPs and the arvs and liked them all ( but that doesnt really help you does it) I havent owned any of them so i cant really attest to the durablity but my buddys arv's are aready really dead and basically decambered after only like 60 days, although when i tried them back when he had them new they were a really fun ski that was good in everything. Its probably a good ski for you because its not difficult to handle and still quite playfull and i never had issues with it at speed.
    hope that helps

you do realize that the term "All-Mountain Ski" is an oxymoronic phrase created by marketing peoples, right?

Skiied the ARV 3 days and liked it--skiied guns and old-skool pistols before, liked both those skis, but the ARV is a bit stiffer--I'm 5'10 and 150 though, and this is about the softest/thinnest ski I'd want for tracked/crud. Used it on a knee-deep day and was wishing for a wider platform. It is very versatile though, it'll take you through the park no prob, quick in the trees, etc. It is turny though--I usually like to open it up a bit, and skiied ANTs for awhile, so this is my beef with ARVs--found the ARVs sweet spot is in about 20-30ft turns or so. Overall fun ski, i'd give it a 5 in the powder, 10 in park, bout a 7 everywhere else. I need to get some more days on them to give a real review though.

My buddy does a little park and likes both his Seths and his PE's.
I have tried them both. I liked the PE's better, but I am not a park guy.

191 p4s. ski short for the length.

Only complaint is that they are heavy (but that contributes to the solid feeling of them)

need to have speed to get them to become playful.

    great, do it all ski.

Im about your size 6'4" 240 and I love Prophet 90.
Maybe a little stiffer than what you looking for but a fantastic ski
Rips on hard pack if your willing to put your weight into the turn.
I have about 100 days this year on mine and there going strong.

I'm an inch shorter and 5 pounds heavier so I'm about your size.

I have both the Prophet 90s and the 100s both in 186. If don't get much POW around your area I would say the 90s would be better than the 100s. I think the 100s shine in tracked up pow and deeper crud but if you don't get much pow than you probably don't deal with much deep crud either.

The 186 Prophet 90s kick ass in just about any situation except deep pow. They are a REALLY good all around ski that can rail on ice as well.

Edit: after looking that you get 30% deep pow the 100s wouldn't be bad either. The 90s and 100s ski way differently though.

100s because you can still carve them and spin them but they will give you enough float

Where are you skiing? If out west, I'd go for the wider skis. Have heard the Prophet 100s are sick.

if you as big as you say you are, I'd look for stiffer skis. The ARV is a great ski and all, but I think the prophet has some metal in it, so it's a little burlier.
Take a look at some of the offerings Nordica has to offer. At you're size a 193cm blower should be pretty fun. It will ski short (it will measure about 190) and at the bird or jackson, you'll have plenty of room to turn it, not that it would take you that much.
    No longer stuck.

Another vote for Prophet 100 especially because it has just the right amount of metal for us bigger guys. I'm 6'2" and 195 lbs and ski Fernie and Castle and they will do everything you want plus tight trees and bumps.

I am your size, height and weight. From what I know of above would vote Prophet 100.

BUT....and somebody had to say it.......go Explosive!! MtnLion will hook you up for $250-300, it is everything you asked for (except backwards in the park). Also, mount them 4 forward and they will ski more progressive and you will love.
