Final pow day of the season - SSV 5/23 TR
So, the snow gods came through as promised and gave us one last dump of snow to end the season. (Today is actually the final day at Sunshine Village, but yesterday was the day to schralp the pow.)
-----------
Still snowing and a whiteout first thing in the morning, so we had to do laps on Divide until viz improved and the Patrol would open the Dive.

-----------
When the sky finally started to brighten they flipped the sign on the Dive and it was "game on" for the final time this season.

-----------
Rather nasty light in Bre X at the top of the Dive. Nothing like feeling your way down a 50 degree slope.

-----------
Wicked snow for late May and we did lap after lap, not wanting the day to end.

----------
In the afternoon the temps began to warm up and you had to keep an eye out for snow sluffs coming down the cliffs.

----------
By 2 pm the snow was getting heavy so we did one final run down Fat Boy.

A great end to a fairly good season. But I guess it's finally time to dust off the bike and get ready for summer. I can't believe we have to wait six months for the next pow turns.

Outstanding stoke and pics. Luv the shot with the slough comming off the rocks! Fine way to end it.

Awesome pics Eldo
, wish I could have been there. Good to see you ending the season on a powder day. I'm already getting withdrawal symptoms and trying to work out how to go South.

I made a last minute decision to go up there Sunday and sure am glad I did. Soft, deep and consistent snow all the way down. To have that kind of dump in late May is amazing for this Seattle transplant. I'm sorry I didn't see you, must have been on different lap cycles. It was a damn good way to finish off the lift-served season. Oh yea, great pictures!
D'oh!!
