Anyone going to SSV?
Is anyone planning to be up there tomorrow or Friday?
Last forecast I heard was for snow both days but I can't ski this weekend.

I've met that dog and I think it can outsmart you which is why I assumed you owned cats.
It's not so much the model year, it's the high mileage or meterage to keep the youth of Canada happy

Sorry Redskea, I had to work Thursday and today. (Two days in a row - a new record for me!)
I might be going on the weekend or Monday, but I realize you have to work this weekend. Have fun learning how to hike.
Oh, and have a great summer!
Anyone else skiing this weekend? Or is everyone going camping and getting snowed on?"Good girls go to heaven. Bad ones go to hell. And girls on fast bikes go anywhere they want." Elena

I ended up with some weird fever so couldn't ski anyway
Sounds like Monday will be a good one, have fun up there.
I found some fresh large Grizzly bear trcks about 100m away from where I was sleeping in my car yesterday
camping is much more exciting here!

05-21-2004, 09:13 PM #8Heh, that was one of the strangest things to camping in New Zealand with Redskea. There's no bears, snakes, moutnain lions, coyotes, scorpions, barracudas, or anything else that will bite you or your food. the scariest animal you'd encounter in the forest was maybe a opossum. Kind of a weird feeling.Originally posted by Redskea

You've obviously never been attacked by a kea. Ouch.

Actually, I have. Damn birds.
Pretty smart, though. I watched a couple of them gather around a family loading their skis into the van at the end of the day. When everyone had their back turned, one bird snuck over and grabbed a ski boot, and carried it off. Before anyone realized what had happened, the bird tossed the boot off a cliff.
I left my favorite ski jacket out on a picnic table for a few minutes, and the F$#$ers shredded it, too. damn birds.Last edited by Geoff; 05-22-2004 at 05:22 AM.
