Why oh why did I do it????

    So,

To free up rapidly dwindling space on my computers hard drive (and as result computer performance), I changed my I-tunes directory from my c:\ to my "new" 500 gig portable hard drive.

    In the process,

I gained 5,000 songs (I'm not telling how that happened! )

"Lost" a bunch of songs (that I had imported from same said portable drive)

    Lost all my play-lists.

Got to sit through a re-import/conversion of a bunch of songs that I have already converted/imported

Still sitting through a "file organization" (I have a feeling that's going to take all night.)

Had a bunch of songs lose their track info (don't know that damage yet)

Over run the storage capacity of my 80 gig classic (by about 20 gigs!)

And I'm sure a bunch of other stuff I haven't figured out yet.

I know storing all my music on a portable drive is risky, but I have 250 gig that serves as a second portable back up. So if my 500 goes out, the 250 goes out, and my i-pod goes out, then I'm totally screwed!

I still have everything on my c:\ so I could go back to "normal" if I really wanted to. The question is, am I going to have the balls to click delete on my c:\ when all of this is over.
