Yeah, I know there's a message board for Blade Runner fans, but I'm just curious what the collective here thinks.

Just watched the newly released "Final Cut" of Blade Runner last night. They've done an incredible job of remastering the movie and making scenes a little more crisp. Not that it was ever a bright, cheery, happy movie, but some of the scenes you're able to see more detail in now than before.

Still one of my all time favorite movies.

Excellent future-noir. Can't wait to see it on a nice tv.

book leaves it sort of ambiguous, the movie sort of sets it up that he is a andy (edward j olmos leaves the origami swan)

I vote "Nein." He left the Origami for the girl - whom we all know is a replicant.

One of my favorite films - I own all 3 versions. The use of light to tell a story is taught in Film Schools all over. Ridley Scott is a fucking MANG.... albeit a very coy one - he won't give a straight answer to a very easy question. Makes it fun for us geeks, I guess.

just to add, this is one of the best adaptation of pkd's books, a scanner darkly was also great. some of them are pure ass: the version of the golden man by nic cage last year was god awful trash that shouldn't have had any trace of pdk's name on it.
