When Should Spread Eagle's be laid to rest AGAIN?

They have seen a recent re-birth.

How much longer are they going to be cool again?

I don't think they will ever go away. You can do them so easily, all you need is the smallest bump and you can have a spread eagle. It is the trick most kids learn first.
A classic jump with the longest history... Viva la spread.

When did they ever die? And when were they ever uncool?

i'd say a screamin semen is more of a reverse spread than a tip cross.

As long as there is skiing and skiers, the spread eagle will exist!

Not only is it the first trick most kids learn, it's also the last trick for the old dudes to give up:

This fella does lots of other tricks too, but sometimes just prefers a good spread:

Techically that last one is a cossak, no?

There was a good shot of me doing a cossak over the medium kickers on the high north web page which has sadly been taken down with High North's closure. I will dig it up as it was my finast moment. I got to be the old dude bringing the old school back to the new.

True. But that would still fit within the genre of "spread eagle". Yes?

The spread eagle, laid to rest. Bite your tongue! What's next, the daffy???
A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. I agree that the kosak is in the same category as the spread eagle. I was just being pedantic.

The spready will never die. It's the only trick I can actually pull off. Henceforth, it will always be cool.

The Alien is most certainly my favorite trick to perform. Something about having giant antennae is just enough to make you feel young and ridiculous. It makes me smile every time.

So no, the spread will not die.

I cannot lie, I did throw a big spread eagle in the park this weekend. I also threw a shifty, which I believe is otherwise known as a twister.
