It was a weird angle, but I'll be surprised if that's the case. It seems like they would have touched on that when they first planted the bug. I'm hoping Hank finally makes the Walt-Heisenberg connection some other way.
Mike's death scene was simply beautiful. Is that the start of Walt recognizing the monster he's become?

Todd's going to be the instrument of Walt's undoing. (He's got a little chubby psycho Matt Damon thing going on.)
Of course Walt is going to crash and burn because of his own hubris. I was surprised to see his character develop as such a classic tragic hero. Someone's been reading his Shakespeare.Damn, we're in a tight spot!

Epic.
I think I will re-watch that last episode today. The scene with Mike was amazing. "Shut up Walter, let me die in peace."
What will Jesse do? I think Jer is probably right. I hope he is wrong though. If Jesse is smart, he will follow Mikes advice and leave. Just disappear.

There is no way he will just disappear though. He is too integral of a piece in the show. Unless they couldn't reach contract agreements with the guy who plays Jesse? I heard that is why this season took so long to start and is so few episodes...
I think Jesse will be back but I don't know why, loyalty to Walt? Or maybe greed? I doubt greed because it seems like he is over the money.

Most excellent mid season finale, cant fucking wait until our reup!
The potential for the outcome of hanks sudden epiphany is amazingly hige. Granted,i dont think hank even likes ww that much, but he possesses å literal ton of money, and anyone can be bought, even if you are a hero super cop.

I dunno - after everything Hank's gone through because of the exsistence of Hiesenberg, I don't know if any amount of money could smooth things over.
I know Jesse's a very integral charactor, but why he'd stick around now that he has a duffle full of cash is beyond me. He's got $$ now, he doesn't want the lifestyle, he obviously doesn't trust Walt at all...

Hopefully, Jesse leaves. Like Jer said, there's no reason for him to stay around now. None.
Did anybody notice Todd giving the head nod to his uncle? I wonder if he is MUCH smarter than we think, and is actually the boss in that whole crowd. Maybe playing Walter to take over the cook.

Sure, but consider skylar's part in all this. Hank would probably not start a formal investigation on his brother in law until he has substantial evidence suggesting WW is the devil. I'm thinking WW either ends up dead or in jail, oooor, the admittedly unlikely possibility that ww pays Hank. If the shit hits the fan,I can guarantee that skylar finally offs herself,Walt Jr and the baby ending up with sister in law and Hank. The implications of an m60 in Walt's trunk raises a few questions as to what will happen, though.
Exciting,indeed.

And about Jesse. Remember his transition from idiot methhead to caring criminal,in which Mike obviously gave him more of an upbringing and an education in how to deal with people,he was more of a balanced role model to Jesse than Walt could ever hope to be,in his bitter, narcissistic megalomania driving the kingdom before anything else,no qualms or morals what so ever. It will come to a day what Walt did with Mike, and when it does,Jesse will be quite upset.
Again, regarding Walt's own demise, which definitely will come,I suspect paranoid madrigal bitch will be a big player when it turns out that Todd indeed can cook, like some of you are saying. She doesn't give a shit who cooks as long as she gets hers.
Somehow,I doubt the DEA will be close to the biggest problem on Walt's plate come next season. Everyone resents him,as he is an incredibly unlikable character, and his latest decisions have only strengthened that.
Norsk.

I'm tellin' ya - Todd is a major league psycho. When Walt offered to "talk about money", Todd declined. I'm not saying Todd doesn't care at all about the money, but it's obvious that's not why he's in it. To a psycho, all the world really is a stage. They are very adept at appearing to be weak or not very bright or kind/helpfull until it's too late. How many times have you heard "He was such a nice young man"?
As far as Walt's ultimate demise, I now completely agree with Buttfuckin' - right up to the confused look on Hank's face in the final shot.

So what about Walt's cancer screening? I think he was going to tell Jesse his cancer is back and wimped out. I thought that was going to be the cliff hanger.

Readings some reviews from around the web...
What if the book didn't come from Gale, but instead came from Gretchen Black when they used to work together. Apparently, they never showed Gale giving this book to Walt. Perhaps Hank tries to match the handwriting to Gale and finds out it wasn't his gift (or Walt says it came from Gretchen as an excuse)... even though he's wrong about the book, it could plant the seed in his mind that Walt could have been the WW and the investigation will begin.

I think he dies a quiet death from cancer.
People should learn endurance; they should learn to endure the discomforts of heat and cold, hunger and thirst; they should learn to be patient when receiving abuse and scorn; for it is the practice of endurance that quenches the fire of worldly passions which is burning up their bodies.

Holy shit this is gonna be a long wait....
Is Walt really out, or is he simply placating Skyler? Until that pile of money is big enough to buy Graymatter outright I can't see him wanting to stop. It also seems like the Phoenix guys would be less than thrilled that their meth supplier just decides to retire out of nowhere.
I'm not sure it's a foregone conclusion that Hank will immediately go after Walt aggressively. His boss was fired for having a drug kingpin right under his nose, Hank's fate would likely be the same and he'll know it. I would love to see him make this pitch to his boss whom he is already on thin ice with, "So, I'm pretty sure my cancer patient and former schoolteacher brother-in-law is actually this Heisenberg psycho. I have no evidence except a note in a poetry book and some weird coincidences, but I'm going to need a big surveillance budget to start following him." Of course, it would be hilarious if Hank actually did that and Walt was actually out and he found nothing.
edit: Of course, if you guys are right about there being a security camera in Hank's office, that changes everything.Last edited by Dantheman; 09-05-2012 at 01:44 PM.
