Don't pinch me, I'm not dreaming. Can you help me with a Santa Cruz Nomad hook-up?
I still have a hankering for a Nomad, but I'm not going to pay retail. That means I'm looking for some kind soul to help me get a deal on a Nomad. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Might be worth a shot! Good luck"My policies are based not on some economics theory, but on things I and millions like me were brought up with: an honest day's work for an honest day's pay; live within your means; put by a nest egg for a rainy day; pay your bills on time; support the police." Sorry, but can't help you out. If you're looking for a new nomad, and don't want to pay retail or close to it, all I can say is good luck.
It's no secret that margins on SC bikes are lower than other manufacturers, and because of that most shops won't discount SC bikes much unless they're older models that are just collecting dust.
I'd say you're best bet would be to find a deal on a used one that's in good shape."If I could have any K2 skis this year I'd go with the Volkl Gotamas." - Monique

Call Santa Fe Mountain Sports @ 505-988-3337 and see what they have in stock. Last time I was in they had some 1 1/8 headset frames still kicking around. they may be able to deal being mid winter down here.

Not to avoid your question, but I don't want to get in hot water at work for discussing exact margin numbers on a public forum. I will generalize and say that due to the margin a shop makes on msrp on an SC bike, few will EVER bargain much lower than msrp if they want to stay in business for a long time.

Might be worth looking here, they had a bunch when we were out there and they take care of their stuff pretty well."People blame me because these water mains break, but I ask you, if the
water mains didn't break, would it be my responsibility to fix them then?
WOULD IT!?!"
