Rides on the "To Do" List, check

I knocked off one of mine today again (2nd time). Climbed the Jeffersonville side of 108 S past Smuggs up to the top of the notch road. For those of you who don't know the area it is a 7 mile climb from downtown to the summit with a fairly consistent grade combined with some steeper pitches especially around the ski area. Total distance ~37 miles, total ride time was 2.5 hrs., pretty slow avg. speed of 14mph but that is most likely because of the headwind on the first leg before the climb. Took about 50 minutes to climb from Jeff. to the summit and only 20 min back down. Max speed on the descent ~40mph with wind which made it pretty freakin cold up there. My legs were actually blue, it was that cold.

Vin- you going to be visiting the fam at all this summer? I have a few rides I'd like to try. How does Grand Gorge-Schoharie-Cobleskill-Stamford-Grand Gorge sound?
