Head Monster ?
Found a pair of these at an outdoor goods resale shop, new in plastic. They had an 87mm waist, Not the "im" model, grey, black, white in color. Were these the first year issue or what. They had 'em in a 193, 1 pair only 200clams...

I just bought some Monsters myself. They were demos at a shop here in Bellingham. The manager said they didn't go out much because most people took out more intermediate skis. Mine are 180. The Oct 2000 Skiing mag "gear guide for 2001" gives 117/87/103 for dimensions. I just measured mine and got 117/85/107. Weird. Mine have the same colors and graphics as shown in the review, gray, black and red. The Head sticker calls them Monster Freeride Cross Carve. The graphics on the tip say Head Monster Cross and at the tail Monster Cyber. I paid about 175. The next years gear guide shows them with no red and a slightly different rating, showing differences in the 180 and 193. If you can get 'em for 200 new I'd say go for it! Yours would be the second year for them, mine the first. I can't tell you how they ski, but we'll find out soon!

Keoni - I know where you're shopping, and they have/had 8 pairs for $199 all in 193. I almost bought a pair but decided I needed a beacon first. They are nice & stiff. You will dig them.

Yea, they got 1 pair left and I can't make up my damn mind. There a little shorter than my G40's so I'm not sure if I'd be doublin' up or not. I think waaaay too much, it's a sickness...Originally posted by Platinum Pete

You should buy them now, then sell 'em to me later for less.
My roommate needs new skis so bad, I am trying to get him to buy the Monsters, but his grandma just died so he's got other things on his mind. Hopefully there was an inheritance.another Handsome Boy graduate

Works like a charm in the stock market too.

Keoni - did you get these or did some other smart shopper grab the last pairs. I was at NA this weekend and all the Monsters were gone, not much to fall in love with there. Some Atomic demos, but they looked a little beat for the $400 they were asking. Just curious.

I've got some thing fat and explosive if you've got $500. And no, I'm not prostituting my penis. Wizards in a 190, mounted with rossi scratch 140 binders; practically new
