Heard a great one 2nd hand over TG dinner...

Someone was talking about sitting at the bar at Loveland and overheard a girl asking her friend "what does 'I tele Loveland' mean?". Apparently her friend very knowingly replied "that's spanish, duh..."

Overheard: in Casper Resturant @ JHMR by Mrs. SIJ.

Context: First nice pow day @ the Resort last week.

Who: Table of skids @ approx 10:45 AM w/ full pitchers of beer.

What was said: "...man she talked all night, I mean all night...(insert look of extreme despair)".

Table of friends: "Whoa dude that totally sucks...(insert commiserating look from sympathetic tale of bros)".

Pretty classic.

No idea where Steaux Octagon is but it sounds like maybe Europe? As I understand it if it's not groomed it's not avy controlled out there. Since everything in Co in bounds is avy controlled this would have been a reasonable statement.

In the middle of one of the most intense consistent continuum powfests in my admittedly addled memory, it's howling, dumping, 100 foot visibility, 12" per day over the last week. Ridiculous deepness everywhere.

Person A asks person B how run C will be and person B answers: "I don't know, we'll see how conditions are".

Same day riding the chair, guy on 170 something slalom skis looks down and says," aren't those skis a little over kill for today?". I'm on 191Lhasa Fats. I just smiled and said" nope, just the right amount of kill." It was a quiet lift ride after that.
