Thread: Seattle area MTB's - Summer weekday evening rides?

Any Seattle-ites intersted in starting up some after work mid-week rides this summer? 1-2 hour rides starting about 6pm (I can get out of work by 5pm). Prefer Tiger Mtn and/or Renton areas as Redmond or further North can be tough with traffic.

Yeah, a friend of mine is also interested in starting some weekday rides. He gets out at 6pm from Issaquah so Tiger seems logical- with Wednesdays the leading choice.

As a noob to Seattle, I've only ridden a few trails. I'm tied up until the first week of June- after that, any day.

I'd like to get in two rides/week once summer heats up. 1-2 afterwork weekday rides along with hopefully one long weekend ride (ie, Crystal Mtn, SunTop, etc..). Lets PM or post some details closer to June and see how many others we can get to join in.

Say tentatively 1st Wed. in June- Tiger Mtn. for a loop on Iverson-Preston? 6:15pm?

How about looking at meeting up Wednesday June 2 at Tiger Mtn. to make a lap on Preston/NW? 'bout 6:15pm-6:30pm?

Dammit...I missed this thread till today. Are you guys still riding tonight at Preston? If you don't mind a GIRL tagging along, I might be inclined to do so. It all depends on how quickly I can get back up to the city from Tacoma after work tonight....hmmm....

Girlski- I might still be out at Tiger Mtn. later tonight- but haven't heard from anyone that's definitely going to ride. Rode Iverson last Sunday about the same time- it was friggin great, albeit muddy as a mofo. I'm still game for tonight if you want to ride Iverson- but PM me by 3p or so.

Otherwise, I'd say let's get a group together next week either Tuesday or Wednesday night and plan it out in advance. I work until 5p so the earliest I can get to the trailhead is about 6- depending on traffic.

I went over to Vashon and rode Section 31 with some friends on Sunday. Great ride, totally overgrown and was eaten alive by the biggest blackberry and stinging nettle bushes I have ever seen. It was muddy, bloody and a shit ton of fun! That would be another good ride to coordinate for all the local mags interested in getting together.
