Deja Vu....Peru, 08'...anyone wanna go?
Well, kids, it's that time again, time for me to spam the forums and try and put together another debauched Bacchanal of degenerates behaving badly.
This year I am setting my sights on Huaraz, in the Cordillera Blanca, in order to offer singletrack, Chicas, food, Pisco, and whatever else your passions may fancy in Peru.
I will get more specifics as I go, but basically, I want to ride from 16,500 feet down to ~7K, and giggle like a maniacal caliope, witnessing my guests ride the silliest singletrack on the planet.
Anyone interested?
Just to whet your appetites, please peruse this thread about my last trip (Spring 07') that was in the high mountain Jungle area (Jauja, Tarma, San Martin, etc.)
http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/s...ht=Peru+spring
And now I will try and find super-awesome pics of riding in and around Huaraz, in order that you can get a feel for what the area and the trails are like.
Here is a thread describing the pricing/logistics, etc, but I assume many of you are familiar with the overall gist.

More to come.

Nice! I have done some great rides around Huaraz. Riding old bits of Inca Trail can't be beat.

~$2000 Per Person, less if we can get over 8.
This would INCLUDE airfare from Lima-Cusco, BTW.
This is a very, very fair price.

Can I get some sort of TGR loser award for not reading that on the first pass?!?! Count me out for May - I'm a more likely consideration for fall - I seem to remember October being a time you also do this trip . . .
