AK Made'n Mounting: Tip Dive?
Hey dudes,
I know there's thread on mounting these, but I have a new question: How far forward can you safely go without tip dive being a factor? 179cm.
This is for my buddy. He won some Brew Skis from his shop, a retail sales contest. He's 6 foot, skinny 150 lbs. He does all sorts of switch take off and landing in the park, but not so much in pow. This will be his only pow board for Mt. Hood snowpack.
Thanks for the insight.ROBOTS ARE EATING MY FACE.

i was looking into getting a pair of made'n ak skis. went with 4frnt vcts instead. but if i remember correctly +7 or +8 from the factory midsole mark was true center of the ski. this was the recommendation for the park specific people and i think was the farthest recommendation from midsole. +3 or +4 was the recommendation for an all mountain setup(blend of freestyle and freeride). hope that helps.

Skied a 189 that was mounted on +4 a while a go, no problems, great pow ski.

Sounds like your buddy has the same build as I do. I've got my pair at +2.5. They work great as a do everything kind of ski. If he's not dead set on landing switch in the pow, I wouldn't worry about mounting them as far forward as possible. I have no problem taking off, spinning, landing or carving switch on them at +2.5. Keep some tip in front of you for destroying pillow lines and big landings in deep pow. That's where these skis shine.
