MagFest '08!!
Well, it's taken a few years and lots of coordination and lots of trouble along the way, but we're finally ready to go!
Dates are March 1-7, location is Squaw. There will be a big air comp, a big mountain comp, a park and slopestyle comp (in two divisions) and we intend to have multiple classes within each regimen if we get enough people sighned up.
Here's YOUR chance to be a ski hero! Or at least to compete and have fun, and maybe have a beer with some of the biggest names in the business - who knows where that might lead?
We've been working on this concept for almost six years and it's finally happening! Thanks to all for your patience, your strength, and dammit I hope I can count on your competitive spirit!
We'll have prizes at every level, ranging from a day pass to Snowbird to an All-Expenses-Paid week of heli skiing with one of North America's premier heliskiing ops.
It's all up to you! Get involved! Get into the MaggotFest 08 and see what deals we can cut you, what prizes you can win, who is going to be involved, and how you, YOU, personally, can score bigtime from this unprecedented series of MAGGOTCENTRIC series of events! Get psyched! Get stoked! Get MAGGOTIZED!!!!
This is gonna be HUGE!!!!!
PM Rontele for details, entry information, etc.Last edited by iceman; 12-28-2007 at 11:28 PM.

Awesome!!!
PM sent.
Are you gonna set up a pay-pal account for registration/entry fees? I'm ready to send the $$ now just in case the comp brackets fill up early.

Core Shot, you're much too modest, we all know you're the brains behind this operation, and thank god you've been there for us. If there's a question I can answer better than you I have no idea what it might be.

I am so psyched for this, even with my slightly questionable knee.
And thanks to Ron for the quick response to my PM, let me know when you receive my check (remember, I wanted entry in BOTH events).

Ok,
Checking in here to update folks on some developments. Due to a plethora of deal closings I have in the upcoming weeks, iceman has agreed to assume my role is general coordinator of maggotopia. He said that all PMs and references should be directed his way.
Trayc, its was nothing buy my pleasure in setting up a woman's division. iceman promised to keep the spirit alive.
lph, since iceman too is in the master's division, there may be a conflict of interest and I'll continue to coordinate that.
Thanks all for supporting maggotopia

I also want to add that the responses have been OVERWHELMING thus far and with help of our corporate sponsors we should have serious prize money to dish out.
If you wish to get involved (think free lift tickets and lodging for the event) make sure you send Core Shot, our marketing director for maggotopia, a PM.

what's really awful is that I believed this for a few seconds, thinking "Sweet, that's when I'll be out there this year"
"Oh, no pics. To simulate the skiing today, walk out your door, grab a handful of snow, and throw it in your face. Repeat as necessary.
If you don't have snow outside your door, what the fuck are you living there for?"

Ice, I sent a PM to you and ron outlining the raffle prizes that I have recieved from the Jackson Hole Mt. Resort...trust me, they are AWESOME.
Possibilities include one day of heli-skiing, as well as an escorted mountain Guide tour of Granite OB.
Brooklyn, thanks for offering to host the Paypal account for new participants to send in their raffle entry money, that was a VERY generous gesture!
ENTRANTS:
Raffle tickets are only $1.00 each, buy lots!
(The proceeds are going to the 'Ski Cooper' search and Rescue Education Dept.)
PLEASE PM BKLYN for info on how you can enter the raffle, you don't have to be at Squaw to win!
Comp will be in JH in 09'!
YES, GAME ON!!!Forum Cross Pollinator, gratuitously strident
