Never made it to 4, as I had to finish and wore out lapping 1. Top of 2 was windfucked -27F windchill so I imagine going to Vail and
over "that way" will be better.
I always gouge and fuck up boards on early season 4. Once North Chutes open ( not yet I guess), it is on!Terje was right.

Word on the street is Tickler slid this morning and took out a snowcat. Remote triggered from below by the cat, pushed it ~50 yards but didn't bury it. 4-6ft crown according to my buddy who saw it.

Yeah, cat was able to drive away, so sounds like no injuries or anything. This was prepping the road to return to 4 from the top of chair 8, before 8 opens to the public.

8 finally opened around 10:30-11.
Pretty wind effected and crusty / grabby (for me) but really good in the trees.
4 skied really nice.
Still nothing else open off chair1.
A few cracks and slides visible in bounds.
Snow was really picking up when I left. If it continues tomorrow will be good.Last edited by N1CK.; 12-25-2014 at 03:49 PM.

I'll be there tomorrow. Identifiable by the usual shrill screams and propensity for flat landings

Really good conditions today. Everything between 4 and 8 was great.
West Ropes is open and awesome conditions. I'd lap that over and over tomorrow, if I could.
Fuck work.

4 was amazing late yesterday (woke up late, got there at 130). Last chair and it was still FREE REFILLS.
9 + 4 laps today was heaven. I love pacific fog storms. Never really stopped snowing from yesterday to all day today above 12,400. Visibility was off and on....wo when it was On, it was radical.
Lots of wind fucked, but patrol bowl was open, I went to Northstar and Challenger bowls. Also I hit Headwall and it went down fast and slashy early ( no one cold really get in with the wind), and then I rag-dolled and Tomahawked headwall later trying to go too fast into "the" turn, still no one else touched my previous lines...weeeeee!!!Terje was right.

Patrol Rock??
Heading to the Lovely Land for next sat and sun (17&18) and am just daydreaming... Fun stuff on headwall? Air off the crown lines on patrol bowl...?
Will be rad to be back "home"

in 2 weeks it could be filled in.....or closed.
All of Denver is melting right now, 60F yesterday in DEN, 34F high temp at the LUV weather station ( 10.5K) yesterday and today.
It has been slow building up high. Tons of snow on certain aspects, almost nothing on others. reef still exists, Patrol bowl was all that was open. Headwall is deepish.Terje was right.

Is there any snow left? Or did it all melt and it's time for biking?
You should have been here yesterday!

Stoked to get up there again this Friday. When I was there a couple weekends ago, patrol was saying possibly open to Super Bowl within the next few days. Would be coincidental if that open today. Hoping to have a little session on the headwall Friday…
Schreddnick, Jwow, Fleauxseph. Prepare for some silliness on Friday. Perhaps of the crack rock variety, and/or even of the inverted variety??
