I made the ridge my bitch with these today.

Just kidding; not mine. Can't believe the owner risked not locking these babies to this fence by the clock tower!

Everything was skiing well today. Maybe a foot of new on the ridge, and viz was decent for a while, but the luv definitely didn't get as much out of this storm as some places.

Is it all tracked out? Was most of the Ridge open?

I left just after noon cuz I'm working an overnight tonight. The ridge cat was running, but not sure if they were letting people all the way out to Marmot or 1310, or the other way to wild child or porcupine saddle.

Forecast says 3-5" overnight, and 1-2" tomorrow, but I'll believe it when I see it. I'll probably stumble out around noon either way after a few hour snooze.

How often if the ridge closed? I was there today and it was on wind hold. That ridge looks good, I would give it another shot tomorrow, but if its closed I am shooting myself. Otherwise I could just head to crested butte.

The ridge closes when chairs bounce off the towers. It's not so much the speed, as the direction IME.

Probably not worth shooting yourself over.

Holy shit balls. That is a massive rip.

Super Bowl and Wild Child got skied tons last weekend. I enjoyed a couple laps down that path and one on Wild Child. Both were skiing a foot deep and soft. Scary to think that was waiting underneath.

Not good with LL names. Is that crack rock in the middle of the path, or is it in the next bowl over?

First time I saw someone huck that cliff was last weekend. It was impressive -- a big drop if you go for the full monty. Looks like it'll be a long while before someone else gets a go this season.

Did #9 run all day yesterday? I was at the base, and thought no way it will run with the wind.

All day. No one on it. They got Marmot/Rock Chutes open by 1 or so.

It was bomber. Wind was much stronger at the base than up top. What a day.

The upper half of the Ridge looks awful from below...everything blown off, exposing the crust below.

Yep, The Ridge was not looking good from Lift 4 today. Might be some decent aspects, but everything near the lift looked pretty awful.

8 would've been really good today if it spun, but I'm afraid that afternoon sun today probably baked it pretty good. I was hoping it would stay overcast.
