Thinking about driving out from SLC to either A-Basin or Loveland this weekend. Are both resorts just 1 white strip of death?

Looks like they have it together pretty well - nobody was parked on the mound of dirt or anything. Had some cars there at 6:30 but nothing out of control... Happy Ski Season everybody! Would like to hit it today, but it'll probably be tomorrow...

I could get you the pass holder discount. Not sure how much less than the $46.00 early season price it would be. Probably $10.00 or so. Wouldn't be out till 11am or so... No hurry to ski the single open trail of it all!
Not sure why there was all the panic about getting first chair today. Just one day of blue cruisers out of a hundred or so much better days...

Today was a communion between skiers and the mountain. Such a sweet vibe all day long.

PSA: Loveland now offers underground parking!

Let them have it, they burn out by late season, when things are filled in and consistent.

Seems like we run out of steam around the end of June. But by September you want to ramp so there's maybe two months off.

It's true! All this excitement over one blue groomer in October. And then in May, when the whole mountain is still covered, Loveland closes due to lack of interest!

its like this in everything, having your favorite ice cream for the 4th time in a month usually gets old for most also. anticipation is always overbuilt.

you'd think someone could tap into the college kids out for the summer and wanting a break after finals and memorial day holiday crowd enough to keep the lifts spinning until june, but that must have been tried and failed enough that they have given up trying.
