Doesn't google continually update it's crawler?
Let's try an bump this back up.
Update:
Enter 'neptune Mountaineering Sucks', and this thread is #1.
If everyone that cares to continues to search these terms, and start/reply to topics with these terms, this thread 'should' come back up to #1 on all 'neptune' searches, correct?
This looks like a fun experiment.

I vote chick, look at those lashes.
I wish there was a mountain here, let alone a mountaineering store. Then I too could get banned for being sarcastic.
I was banned from Home Depot once, but I still shop there. I wasn't sarcastic, I just threw a trashcan. I can't remember why, but it seemed like a good idea at the time. I was young, hotheaded, and foolish. I shouldn't have done it.
I have to wonder if that is the cause of this incident, ultimately? A couple of hotheads feeling their oats.
Criminy, just go out and sink an axe in some snow, and chillout.

I really appreciate how some dick waving about skiing prowess and first descents made it into this thread. Well done guys.

There's only dick waving because of people on "The Program". The effect wears off after a few days. Then they'll go back to being nice little kittens

I just wanted to chime in and say that this google thing is bizarre.
I am definitely interested to know what the deal is there.
I otherwise have nothing to add to this very, very interesting thread.

Of course you have something to add. Try this one:
Neptune Mountaineering smells like poo!
or
Neptune Mountaineering is a subsidiary of Halliburton!Living vicariously through myself.

In this time honored internet message board drama, this is usually about the time that some savvy employee, usually a higher up or perhaps Gary Neptune himself, logs on and makes a self effacing diplomatic post and apologizes for the misunderstanding. He/she won't admit fault nor blame the customer. They will chalk it up to a simple misunderstanding brought on by inexperienced staff and a hectic holiday season. They will welcome everybody to the store and throw the original poster a bone like a few free tunes or perhaps some stickers and a t-shirt. They might even throw out a 15% discount code out there as a peace offering. A few people will attack this gesture, but most will commend them on making the effort and within 3 pages and 4-5 posts by the neptune employee this thread will become a neptune love fest, especially after the employee offers to buy the original poster a few beers at Southern Sun after a slideshow event and they become fast friends, perhaps even lovers.

As I said earlier customers that have problems at retail are customers that don't know anything about the equipment they buy

^Hmm... then anyone else have an explanation for why the thread dropped at *least* 100 ranking spots? (I got tired of looking past 10 pages)

I don't believe anything I read on this board, so without steering her response I asked my fiance, a climber and former boulder lefty for her opinion on Neptune. She told me that they have nice gear but that they are extremely arrogant, that they were always nice to her, but she always assumed it was because she is a girl. She reminded me that she has warned me about the place in the past.
Case closed. Even a random girl in Iowa knows that place sucks.

If anyone has any doubt this is getting to them, the antics with google answered that question. The fictitious positive experience thread showed they didn't learn anything from this entire mess. When challenged, they resorted to the same arrogant, insulting replies. Someone needs to find a way to repost that thread.

I'm guessing this thread was never showing up and it was the front page of the skiing forum people where seeing in the results with this thread title in short description. I'm still getting the skiing forum's front page pooping up as the 6th result in a search results for "Neptune mountaineering sucks"

Search neptune mountaineering. The positive experience thread they deleted shows up at the bottom of the the first page. I can't fathom why they would want a thread about someone's positive shopping experience deleted.
