Patrol was doing directed skiing on the lower east wall yesterday, first couple of turns were crusty, but most were really nice

Vail is getting cockblocked by Vail pass. Donut hole all day and the storm is stuck on the shitty side. Should get better eventually but pretty annoying.

Raining pretty hard in vail. Snow is turning into total garbage. Refreeze is going to blow. Bet Breck and Keystone will be money tomorrow with the higher elevations.

Turn to snow yet? Temps say no rain. At least that will lock down the surface whores.

If it cools off. Warm strong wind going up tbar today. I had snow on my skis when I loaded, water droplets when I unloaded. Strange. Elsewhere on the mountain the wind damage is nuts. Almost difficult to find a clean line down whales tail (only the lower half was open). Found some fun areas with soft snow, had to figure out where the wind put it though.

6" and counting and it's only been sticking for 4 hours in ECO.

With double digit totals at most of the I-70 resorts, hopefully people spread out a little instead of everyone going to Vail like 2 weeks ago. The snow is a bit dense, but it dried out as it fell, so it should ski nicely

Biggest lines I've ever seen at Steamboat. Morningside is 150 yards out of the gate.
Quite fun regardless ! Some stupid deep turns down N St Pats. Full white room.Last edited by hatchgreenchile; 01-31-2016 at 10:29 PM.

Small flakes but a lot of them at Vail. Skied mostly the frontside. Back was a cluster but skied right on the gondola all afternoon. I did a 4 hour bike ride Yesterday and skied nonstop until now. Devastated. I'm trying to make a meal out someone's cornbread and condiments I may never leave mid vail.
I have more skis and bikes than Facebook friends.
