    There are a few more to the north of there that are artificial lakes or enhanced natural lakes. Sandbeach, Lawn, and a couple others. The Lawn Lake flood that created the alluvial fan happened when a dam failed.

    A bunch of the lakes in Wild Basin used to have man made dams and outlet control

    Pikes peak sure seemed to have a good mantle of snow extending fairly low this AM. I don't think I have ever seen it so clearly visible from Denver.
