I second that...noting that there was nobody on the mountain which kept lines fresh all morning!!

Gratzo, Do you think NOAA's forecast is a bit generous or is there a possibility that much might fall??

I wonder how much fell since 5:30 at Vail? I'd guess another 3 had fallen when I left at 10. Any ideas how much to subtract from the # in the morning?

west wall slid end to end today, as did the waterfall area below it...it did not appear to be mega deep, but was super wide. I was on the other side so i was pretty far away. it's very touchy out there. triggered a buncha little soft slabs around cliff bands. the moment warm sun gets to it tomorrow, GTFO.

Dunno if west wall was natural or not, no ski tracks coming outta there though. Had lots of soft landings but also landed on a rock that looked like a pillow and got the biggest coreshot I've ever gotten.

I really hope that it stays cloudy tomorrow.

I debated Abasin vs Keystone and figured I could find untracked at Keystone all day... which I pretty much did. Legit Knee deep all day, some spots were deeper.

I figured Pali would be good, but all the abasin rippers would track it out quick. Basically had my spots at Keystone all to my self.

^I love keystone for that reason alone, NO ONE goes there on pow days. Granted it's a bitch to find rocks to huck off of (well with a good base to land on anyway) you can't beat the emptiness

pretty quiet on the valley floor at 10pm. Radar returns look unimpressive too, hopefully this thing cranks up tonight. I'm gonna guess a report of 8 tomorrow at a minimum with 6 falling during the day and a couple so far this evening. Hopefully it's a HUGE # in the morning.

Some great looking numbers for Aspen/Eagle/Summit. Snowmass looks to be the big winner with 22"....impressive. The base depth at Breck is 108", damn. Get sum!

My thought also. There's not really that much snow on the cars this AM, maybe 3". If I didn't hurt pretty good from 18 runs, passing 30,000 vertical on my Epic Mix Monday, I would go out first thing this AM.

Yesterday was Great, so needed to make some powdery turns. I can't Thank Gratzo enough for helping me plan Not to work yesterday.

It is going to be so ridiculous at highlands today and looking outside its going to be bluebird. The bowl was bottomless yesterday., and northwoods didn't open all day. I am dying a little inside stuck in the office today.

Took my hardest fall of probably the past 2 seasons yesterday afternoon and hurt myself pretty bad, had to call it early. Physically there's no way I can ski today... so fucking bummed out right now, can't believe I have to miss the best day of the season. 22" and bluebird and I'm not out there, you've gotta be kidding me

Patrol said the official mid vail # since close was 5"....but man was the back awesome this morning. Soft base from yesterday with about 8" blown in....freaking HERO POW. Saw Lindahl, Pow Tron, Poop Ghost, Smookan, and Donkey Punch (I think that is Bills name). I hated leaving for work but glad I got some. AWESOME pattern.
