Dear golfers, bikers, desert dorks, gardeners, fisherman etc.,

Thanks for being "over it". It is nice to get the mountains back. Just in case you actually enjoy skiing in the sun, not wearing long jongs, beers on the lift, the smell of sunscreen, perfect spring condtions, flip flops when you are done, peak bagging under safe condtions...now is a good time to get out.

    Hear, hear.
Every spring I'm still agog at the super conditions and complete lack of interest, especially when contrasted with the fecalfest that so often is December skiing.

Who's gardening this early? I'm getting plenty of prep work done, but no reason to plant in April.
Lots of great riding left, just a different experience from the mid-winter shuffle.
Heading to Steamboat tomorrow for closing weekend, and by the look and sound of things, the exclusive country club experience will be in full effect.

I'm not skiing this weekend because family, but will be up at Winter Park the final two weekends, and am stoked for it.

Also need to burn my final Loveland 4 pack ticket, not sure when that will happen. Hoping I can get someone to play hookie with me.

Yeah, can't actually make the CH, unfortunately. Because it's closing weekend at WP and also the last weekend I have my condo up there.

Speaking of corn harvest.... thoughts on getting a corn window with the cooling temps this weekend?? Highs around 35 and some winds. Think it'll turn?? Trying to decide on attempting some bigger missions I have planned and my sources tell me some routes are in that I've wanted for a long time.

I'm looking to rent my condo in Summit...does anyone have opinions on whether Air BnB is better for leads or VRBO?

IME, vrbo seems more popular in Colorado. There is a thread in the padded room on this.

Sadly, I'm losing my condo in WP, so will be hunting for a new seasonal rental next year.

Storm peak runs were quite good today, but yeah, the lower mountain is a one run slopfest. I'm surprised they have it open to the base considering it has been warm and dry for two months . Aspens are budding down low. Nice up at the falls this evening

First time riding the new Elkhead lift. Nice improvement for the south side of the hill. Very fast and comfortable

Was about to say I wasn't surprised, considering the 6,500 foot base area and shitty exposure of most of the mountain.

Never quite understood what people liked about that mountain so much. It gets dumped on sometimes, but it is flatter than vail in most places, and has a way lower elevation.

I will admit the trees are pretty nice in some places.

Is there something super dope about steamboat I don't understand ? Haha

    Hey guys again,
I present my final long term update for the Western North American region. Colorado looks to be doing well snowpack wise and might get some top ups in the near and long term future.
