Yep, LL had about 6-10" on top of a lower boiler plate layer... as long as you skied fast enough, it was all good. It was cold as shit with the wind on Chair 4 and Chair 9, but the Ridge was skiing very nicely.

Variable was the word of the day at Breck today. Everything from semi-blower to wind affected to boiler plate. It was clearly very windy overnight and those winds continued into today. Hike to terrain on Peak 6 was a lot of fun although the snow was pretty heavy. Regardless it was mostly nice and deep. 15" report was not total bullshit as some seem to think any time Breck puts up a big number.

Berthoud was getting good when I left yesterday. Northly facing lines where getting loaded. Once you got off wind loaded features you could still feel the crust. Maybe 5-6 inches over top the crust, ski well. The loaded faces where skiing great by 4.

Pretty sweet in the park today. Will echo what others said about variable conditions. Some spots had 1-2 feet of soft snow and some spots dust on crust. Winds were ripping off the divide though, boot packing up was miserable in some spots.

What a great April day - stayed surprisingly cool around Gold Dust Peak. Aspen area looked like it had lucky cloud cover all day. Clouds broke at 9:30 in our zone. North faces were sluffing easy, but should still have cold snow tomorrow.

Moar 8" storms please! Thanks Ullr

Hehe I rode up with you on 8. I was in all blue. How was yer day without poles?

My brother and I hit it hard until 1:00 when I had to head to the airport. From 1:30 Sunday until I left today LL was a blast!

I had four fantastic days of skiing at Copper, vail, LLx2. I can close the season with a lot of satisfaction. Shout out to Smmokan for the lifty hookup!

Sure thing, glad I could help.

And Pfluffen- I'm pretty sure I saw you eat shit under Chair 4 as we were riding to the top, unless there were multiple guys skiing fatties without poles.

Breck was great on Monday too. Great skiing with you again, man, even if it was just a couple quick laps.

    A little bit of stoke:

Just an FYI for any 4@4 party goers, Vail started searching packs and not allowing oversized or obvious packs up the hill.

What about water bottles and such?

I plan to have a few beers stashed in pockets, but filling bladder flask for the main event.

Warm as today, but the turns above teeeline were money. Repeat tomorrow with an attempt at Dave's wave before catching Blues Traveler in Breck.
