Thread: The Canyons access - delivers every time TR

Since I overslept this morning and didn't make it over to LCC for some early morning pow fest, I decided to go with the trusted VIP access to the ridgeline above The Canyons. Since I was flying solo, I scoped Big Mac and didn't think it wise (although I'm firming plans to nail it after the next storm) and so I opted for what I call Corner Bowl.

Rightly named it sits above the Dreamscape and Daybreak lifts in a NE facing corner between the main PC ridgeline and the East running ridge of Dreamscape. At only 9800' I wasn't sure if the snow would be the stuff Utah dreams are made of....actually, it turned out that this snow was the stuff PNW dreams are made of. It's April 20 so what do I care. It's all pow, and it's all good.

After a mean skin up through a stand of trees that separates Corner Bowl from Nutty Putty, I reached the ridgeline. Dug a pit and as it turns out the stuffs pretty stable. So I drop in the tree shot for some fluff and am surprised at how nice it is. I haven't skied pow for....well let's just say it's been way to long.

Back up the skin track (that thing was tough work I've got to enjoy the skin track for a second lap) I snap this photo of my turns diving into the trees. Not bad for a camera phone.

All the way to the top of the ridge where I can see Monitor to the south, Dutches to the north and BCC and LCC to the southwest. Looks good everywhere. Looks UNTRACKED EVERYWHERE. Just like paradise.

Monitor looked REALLLLLLLLY good. Really good for sure.

Skins stowed, helmet, goggles and the sun breaks out as I drop down the east running ridge and turn into Corner Bowl. Turn to snap a quick photo and then dive into the trees and back to my car.

Gotta love April pow. (almost as good as May or June pow )

our schedules aren't working the early part of this week; sum will be gottin later this week as the Dynamic Duo is once again reunited AND I promise some sick pixs.

stash... you can't link to SprintPCS pics. You can see them because it's your account and you're logged in. I had the same problem. You'll have to host them elsewhere, or add them as attachments here. You can drag them onto your desktop and then attach them.
