Nope. Keith said they would ship by the end of November, but I still haven't heard back from him. My skis are the last in line since they are 175's. (So few orders he pushed them to back of the line) So I'd assume the last batch will be shipping out right now or very soon.

So sad, but I'm in the same boat waiting for 185s. Maybe they looked at my zip code and didn't think I'd need them anytime soon?

A 195 update sent on the 29th of Nov.:
Fondling Squatch's 195 Booty at Larry the Bootfitter today made me droooool. It will be worth the wait.We had some unexpected delays but I should have the 195’s ready to go towards the end of next week.

Calm down people. We don't even really have snow yet, much less amounts worthy of these skis. Plus I don't think he's technically even late. And you only paid $400 for them. Bottom line...

No complaints here. I'm feeling the Praxis love, I just dont have the ability to make love to my boards.
Absence makest the heart grow fonder.
Those of us still waiting either 1) ordered later or 2) changed our orders to the sick new 195 version. (or, like me, changed to 195 and then bumped myself to the back of hte line knowing I wouldn't need these until January)
So, we can afford to wait.

When it's months and months (like March when supposed to be Dec) and no communication at all then start the bashing.

Well, Whistler is getting snow and I'm fiending my 195 sunsets, hopefully they don't get pushed back another week. The legend pros are doing well, but god I could use some more flotability.

OTOH, I was waaay in front of the line. In fact, in one of my e-mails:
But since it appears the Black Smoke graphics were somehow cursed, I wasn't in the first shipment of 185's and I haven't heard yet about the 2nd shipment.

FKNA Arty-take your own advice. Nobody is complaining or bashing. This was meant as a "support thread" for those of us who ordered late and are simply lusting for our new skis and are envious of those who already do. There was no negativity on this thread until you showed up. The reality is I'm glad I don't have them yet because I would probably have taken them out and fucked them up on the rocks by now.

Are you serious? I'm not the only one who took this thread "the wrong way." Think, then post.
I'm glad to hear, you're not worried/bummed/pissed/whatever. But most people won't take you initial post that way.
I'm not trying to call you out personally or anything, but Keith doesn't deserve any bullshit yet. He's been very stand up and I have no doubt we'll have our skis soon."I knew in an instant that the three dollars I had spent on wine would not go to waste."

This thread IMO did not start out as a bash Praxis thread. I'm pretty sure that if everyone who ordered got some type of email with updated delivery information, this thread wouldn't have started. If I didn't appreciate the spirit of the company and what they're trying to do, I would not have supported them with my hard earned dollars.
I'd just like to put this out there to all the smaller ski companies that we support, and of course love.
Please communicate to your customers. Often.
Yeah, something unexpected came up. You had some supply issues. You needed a day off. Whatever it is, let us know. Don't make us chase you down to find out what's up. I hate to nag and I'm not going to check your website daily, call, or write every week asking where my skis are. I've had 0 communication regarding any delays or any type of ballpark for when the skis will arrive. If it wasn't for this board, I'd be a concerned customer at this point.
An email with "we're working on it", "you are #X in line" etc. would be nice, it takes 5 minutes and earns goodwill. I want to hear directly from the company first and not from word on the street.
Seeing threads with prototype cores being cut while a long line of customers is waiting is just not good business. You might be working on orders 23 hours out of 24, but that thread made it seem otherwise. I understand that a break might be needed from the everyday monotony, but don't publicize it until you've filled your orders.
Yeah, I'd really love to add those skis to my bag and fly with them today, but I'm willing to wait. I appreciate the hookup price of course, and the relatively dry early season has worked to quell the ants in the pants for shiny and new, but it's not going to stay that way forever. Advance communication is a sure way to dissipate the heat of 'bad' news.I'm just a simple girl trying to make my way in the universe...

^^^^^^ edited it for ya.

Took me a while to learn that lesson.
Everyone needs communication in order to give any understanding and patience.
Bkln makes a great point about communciation. A quick e-blast to all the waiting customers would be well worth the effort. Not everyone is plugged into the board for every little update.
Oh, and since you can't put your Praxis in the ski bag, I would like to volunteer."Fakers are Maggots" - T. Hall, 2011

I don't have mine either (nor does Mr.AG, rotorhead or Boris)
I'm not bitching, we don't have the snow yet to use them. But yeah, regular updates are nice, so when I hear "shipping in a week" and two weeks later I have nothing I'm not worrying that they shipped and someone stole the box from the front step or they're lost in the mail or something... Yes, hopefully I'll get a shipping notice email when they do ship, but I wouldn't have to worry about it at all if I got a "sorry, it'll be another week or two" notice via email.
Though it's not like it's difficult to find out what's up by checking the thread here, so it's not really a big deal."Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, "Wow, what a Ride!"

You all now this is something all the DPS buyers are facing as well, everyone of us still waiting for our skis to ship. I can't understand why it takes till the beginning of December(fingers crossed, tentatively Dec 8-9) for skis to start getting shipped to their buyers. First time I've ever payed full retail on something and fairly early at that(September) and been waiting and waiting.
Their sales rep however has been really good at communicating and trying to update as much as possible. Still, it seems like there is a lack of communication over there but he's been doing his best to appease a paying customer.
And we DO have snow up here, lots of it, until next week when it looks like its going to rain. And then I'm afraid when they finally do get shipped, right in the middle of the Christmas delivery rush, they are going to take forever to get here, probably not even by Christmas.
Anyway, I agree with the support thread, it helps hearing other's pain.
Vibes to everyone!!

hmmm, i was thinking of selling my near-mint camo 185.5 praxis skis (too short for me).
but then you guys would have 2 pairs, so that wouldn't help much.
keith is a stand-up guy & i'm sure he'll come through soon.197 Katanas for sale, very low miles.

I'm going to stop by the Praxis World HQ tomorrow to see if they are around and if my 195 Sunsets are ready. If mine are ready and yours are still in the queue, I'll tell Keith to send you mine and I'll wait. We've got nothing here and no prospects for the next week or two so I'm in no hurry. I certainly don't mind taking a back seat to another mag who has more use for the time being (although I'm still hoping to have them as a Chanukah present to myself).
I did get the wide brakes for my dukes in the mail today. Woohoo. I swear that with a little bending I could get them to fit one of my carving snowboards - they all have 18cm waists.**

In any case, if you're ever really in this situation make sure you at least bargain in a couple of fluffers.

So Steve and Arty, let's look at the big picture here. This is a forum that is populated by a bunch of arrested adolescents who live to ski and have enough free time on their hands to post shit on the internet about it. This isn't a place I come to be serious and yes, sometimes I am kidding. Some people apparently have enough time to post on average 4 to 5 times a day for years on end and then somehow feel empowered to to cast negative aspersions about their fellow maggots.
This is not a negative thread unless you want it to be. Keith has been nothing but great and responsive to all communication, usually replying in hours to any inquiries, by all accounts. I look forward to supporting him for years to come.
And gosh, I'm just sorry if my lame attempt at psychobabble humor with "support thread" was missed by anybody. Perhaps they shouldn't take themselves so seriously! At least alpinedad got it. Props to you man!
