    Looking for B&W Photos

I've searched around for a while and have come up with a couple of answers to my question.

I am decorating my house currently and am looking for some cool Black and White scenic/skiing photos for the walls. I know that there are a number of excellent photographers on this board such as gunder (mtbakerskier), grizzle6, and midget.

What I am asking, are there any others lurking out there with personal pages? I'd much rather buy some shots from inspiring maggots than some random guys online or in a store who are already sitting on fat wallets.

    Much thanks.

this is one of the TGR photogs. He's a pretty reasonable guy and you'll get high end photos. I cant make any deals for him. But sometimes he'll barter.

Other than that, a bunch of us here at TGR will be taking Holga shots this winter. I'll let you know if we get anything cool.

Oh, sorry if you thought I was saying that you did. I like all three of your guys' stuff and will probably be buying some of it. Just wanted to see if there were any other talented mags such as yourselves out there vs buying from some guy on an ansel adams webpage.

Tried to post the pics here but Kodak gallery is giving me a hard time. I have some scenery shots from Portillo, Cham, and New Zealand (sans skiers) if that's your thing. PM me and I can email them to you...

Holga's are sweet. Guaranteed light leaks and inconsistent plastic lenses make for some cool effects sometimes... Although just as often Ive gotten horrid results, but every so often something special happens you could never have done on purpose.

I guess I have some OK senics (no skiing stuff, all that moving around just confuses me)

I should add that I have never printed any of this stuff but am going to be dialing in the Costco method soon so if you really want something I can try it.

Photoshop > Image > Mode > Grayscale. Or just use any plain jane photo editing software and reduce the saturation of the color shots.

tweak em to your hearts content.

^^ that's an absolutely terrible way to convert to b&w. that's a good way to get really flat images. use the channel mixer for better results.

There's always the equivalent of stuffing a sock in the pants to impress the ladies by letting receipts from the ATM, gas, food, and so on accumulate in the wallet and soon enough the wallet will be fat

Send a PM to BigLaker. He's pretty much a lurker and he has some pretty good B&W skiing photos you could probably get for free.
The police never find it as funny as you do.
