    We awoke to Loveland Pass being closed due to winds... the forecast was for 60mph! It was -8F in Vail with a fx high of 11F! Was it really going to be worth it to go out and ski?


    (Hint: Yes)

    The Spatulas set forth upon the unruly and extra sticky cold catwalks which did their best to hold us back. (OK it worked pretty well too!) But we prevailed and found some nice windcream inbounds on our way to the goods:



    And the goods were good.



    Mir started the whole thing off by going off... waay off...

    dropped this day.

    SheRa motivated me to get in on the drops. So I handed her my real camera and she got out on a spine while I teed up this 30fter right between the trees.


    Still several feet above the landing (out of view)

    I sailed out of the landing to another small drop. It was so smooth the only clue I dropped was the falling sensation and the trees I clipped on the way down.





    The day was a workout and at the end I'd certainly earned myself the taquitos for dinner... and also a nasty frostbitten big toe. Don't ever frostbite your toes. It hurts like hell.

    Very nice work!!! It was cold but worth every freezing second...I recorded wind chills of -30F on average in Breck yesterday.
