Aomori is an amazing place. Doesn't have the big resorts but can definitely get some big snowfalls and Aomori City is right at sea level, Hakkoda is probably getting pummeled.

Penny at http://www.specialtyoutdoors.com/ does great work and isn't terribly expensive. You'd still have to deal with shipping but it's another option.

Was at 49 this morning. Coverage is decent but not great, hopefully this weeks storms will improve things.

Idaho panhandle avy site is up and running at http://www.idahopanhandleavalanche.org/ weekly updates start on the 21st.

Lookout has good coverage and was getting more snow today. Hopefully winter is finally arriving.

At least to Lookout Pass should be good up there today!

Way to get out and thanks for starting the thread. Stayed home today to score points with the family to be redeemed later in the season.

Great stuff. Wish I had started my daughter touring at a younger age but at least she is getting out a bit now, just hope it continues.
