I've been going through some upheaval in my life lately. Massive change demands a need for a fixed point. Hopefully one can find their bearings from this. For me skiing has always been that fixed...
Thinking about a weather day trip to the Pyrenees for Pico Aneto. Any maggots in the area that want to do a tour?
Sweet line. Love the vid too. Looks a bit tech in there.
Looking forward to the next month, for sure.
Its been a really rough season so far.
That blog brought tears to my eyes. My sons are 3.5 years apart.
My heart goes out to the brother. Death is so integral to life and no matter how painful...
Timp sounds good. Any takers?
I don't care what I do I just want to tour something tomorrow. Rolling in around 1am. Will check messages. Anyone interested send me a pm. Then have to be back in Denver by 9 pm Sunday.
Looking to do a tour on Saturday. I was thinking perhaps Deseret Peak, and though I know this isnt in the Wasatch I figured this might be a good place to find someone to tour with. Skiing Mt Baker...
Yeah I'm wearing a green North Face jacket and black pants with the ski logiks. Will look for you
Heading to chamonix on the April 6th for 3 weeks. Took my new skilogik bomb squads out for the first time today. It's like super Mario land. Even I was jumping of stuff. Would love to hook up with...
Skied Baker for the first time today. It was super fun. Will be up there till Saturday.

Heading over for 3 weeks and I'm looking for partners. My plan is pretty open other than visiting a friend in Verbier at the beginning. Want to spend some time in Chamonix and later on around...
Anybody interested in partnering up for a tour on Friday. Thinking Flag Mountain's east facing trees. From the looks of it on Google Earth it should be just right.
Looks like decent conditions
Heading down that way Wed. night. Gonna ski there Thursday and then tour something on Friday. Would love to hook up with some mags.
Wind just makes one feel so unwelcome on the mountain. The skiing was really good though.
I’ve been busy writing a lot lately and haven’t been too inspired by the lack of snow. Sometimes you just have to suck it up and get outside for some exercise. I figured that with all the high...
They should just connect Loveland to A-Basin and call it good.
You could check out my blog, it's in my signature.
I have a 100+ trip reports up and more once we start getting some snow.
I second 14erskiers. I also like tetonat and elksandbeyond
The last time I saw him he was showing me shots from that line. Probably back in '06 or so.
Say hey next time you see him.
PM Jonrad he and his buddy Jack skied it a few years back. I'm sure he'd give you some good beta
I had forgotten how beautiful RMNP is. I think I need to spend some more time up that way. I can't believe how close it is, and you don't have to drive I70
ve been wanting to get up into Rocky Mountain National Park for some time. This season I've been focusing so hard on trying to get the Tenmile and Mosquito done, but now that those lines are complete...
I know where I'm going next august.
SWEET
I covered 2.3 miles and about 1600 vert in the 1st hour, then was on snow within 30 minutes so it wasn't too bad as far as being strenuous. That was a pretty fast pace for this old man.
Very nice. One thing I remember from my day up there was truly underestimating the sense of scale.
Yeah I summitted and skied from about 20 vert below the summit. It's a big mountain but theres something about the angle that makes it reasonable. You just seem to be able to keep going. It's got...
So the original plan was to head up for the Winds for 5 days. Nate had to report to his new job in Prudhoe Bay, AK on the second day of that trip so I had to figure something else out. I surely...
Thanks.
That line on Democrat seems to have the most snow in the range right now. The Atlantic line is also holding on and theres a super steep and rocky line on Fletcher that's still in to.
...
Glad everyone likes the TR. There's just something about skiing in the summer that I just love.
Danno I've been working on a guidebook for the Tenmile/Mosquito range.
I forgot how much fun...
Back in '93 this was the 1st line I skied in the range. I only have one surviving shot left. So the first becomes the last. Dobish and Jesse joined me for this one. Old friend and new friend. NICE.
...
Nice trip. I think I need to do this one. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks to all for the kind words.
It was a pleasure Brian. Cant make the weekend of the 30th work my Parents are going to be in town. I should have 8/3-10 available though. Thinking IPW RMNP or...
"These skis are so much better than any other skis"
Got back into McCullough Gulch for a nice line. I was back there in ’94 and skied the V Couloir but didn’t make the summit due to some really dark clouds that scared us away. This time me and Brian...
Glad everyone dig the TR. I'm still feeling it a bit. Got out yesterday for Atlantic Peak. It was fun and the snow is still awesome. Gotta keep skiing as long as I can. You just don't get snowpacks...
With the summer upon us I was able to arrange some time to get some more days in. I had a ton of fun and here's what I got done. If you're interested click the links for more words and pictures....
Thats a really cool trip. Something about the Soviet logos, decaying buildings, its just really cool.
Very nice looking trip Stan. Don't hang them up yet. Take a break then feel the lure again and go back for more.
Thanks man. This is one of my favorites as well. All the fins and spires in the gully make this zone really special. Probably my favorite route so far in the Tenmle Range
Wow theres still a ton of snow down that way.
Hmmmmm
Great pics. Looks like a blast
That line on Peak 1 is such a pain to get done. The timing has to be just right. I'm a bit bummed out that I couldn't get Peak 4 and Tenmile Peaks added to the check box this year. TIMING I guess.
...
That area is really cool. One of my favorite days last season. Nice to see you get back there for more. WTF though with not skiing it in the dark.
Got up for a few days in the hills. We went for Peak 1 first and had a really great time. The next day we hit Lincoln and Cameron. Also found really great snow though the haze was crazy. The 3rd day...
