There have been few observations of conditions following this storm, however the Mt Hood Meadows ski patrol noted another...

fuck me...NOAA says deep new snow on the way, but high winds too!
i was hoping for some pow + refills, but with gusts predicted to 60mph(!), lifts aren't going to spin.
recheck first thing tomorrow...

I hope someone is getting some today (7-11"!!!) cuz despite the midmountain ovenight forecast (6-10"!!!) the snow level is going up and it will be wet/heavy for saturday

i'll probably take the fam...

Go tomorrow and maybe Friday morning. Skip Saturday and look at Sunday afternoon or Monday

and, at this point with ski bowl closed during the week during the day, skinning up seems like a nice option with the weather this week

nwac is suggesting that avy danger is decreasing so maybe they'll get heather to go this week

i looked over the edge yesterday. if they get it open, it will be sweet riding with the current snow...

lynchdogger - the photo is the scour line much further down canyon. this is the side surface where the flow scraped along the canyon.

we haven't seen any photos of the crown yet

When I wrote that , the snow levels were predicted to be 6500 & up for daytime with definite precip expected... Looks like the chance of precip is low all morning this morning anyway...hope it's good!

i'm seeing snow level at 8000 ft for this week, but daytime temps are 30s at 5000' (meadows base)
