TLT5 has been already skied on way bigger mountains than Denali, Manaslu, Shisha Pangma, Broad Peak etc. it's the best choice for real ski mountaineering expeditions today. Just size up, buy 40below...

TLT5 boots are not made for those bindings...and you might have seriouse problems!.

Plus if you're using them on a duke/renegade 186 ... the 400gr more for the vulcans will not make...

No confusion, there is no rule saying that a company has to make shells always in the same way... luckily ... so we can make boots always shorter, better etc...

I see now you're comment. check the weight of the 27! the 27,5 has a different shell, the EVO has a different fit and therefore shell scale. 26,5 and 27 are on the same shell. By the way same...

The fact that Eric didn't skied yet on the Vulcan is not a surprise, it was clear from the first day. He's 25,5 and all ski boots in the planet are developed in 27,5 and, once finished the other...

A lot of people wants to put their own effort on things. I can make a bet with anybody ... in a blind test... doing the same ski run first time with a TLT5 normal and second time with a Riveted flex...

IF you remove the tongue and the velcro from a TLT5 P the performance will be very different than the DyNA (old model) compared with the DyNA EVO very different! the EVO weight about 400gr less each...

Taller... about 1cm if i remember well. but which kind of taller boot than a titan are you using? most of the alpine boots in the market are nearly the same... few mm difference on the back. it's...

your problem is the easiest to solve, just add a layer of a stiff materal inside the shell, under the liner. That will fix your problem. Or eventually as alternative alsoa thicker footbed might...

I would suggest you to try them in a shop once available... every feet is different so it's impossible to tell you what will be best for you.

on vulcans most probably from the first pair. on the TLT5 not sure yet. the connection point of the rivet and the surface of contact is anwyay changed already from season 12/13. The new technology...

ah for the weight... put those boots which are 26gr heavier on a scale... than you will see.
Ah ... the big difference is on the cuff mobility and walking features... huge differnce, much more...

The tlt5PErf. pivots develop some play after an amount of days of use the average good ski mountaineer does in 5 years.
some of the cases you've seen online is about boots with 70-100 days of use...

NEW Ski boot line from Dynafit will be very hot for 12/13 ... two different lines, many new modes. New benchmark (by far) for ski performance ... and lightness... and walk-abilities...

I think I have your same feet... I have an extremely high arch... for that reason is nearly impossible to fit with comfort any kind of boots before the "advent" of the TLT5 and previously the DyNA...

The laces should be on the box in a transparent bag together with the other accesories as the fit volume reducer etc. Laces are never mounted on the TF-X liners as they are "optional" not really...

Flash .. avoid it! using a kitchen oven or even a specific oven for thermoforming liners has an error percentage of 70% even with a high expertise.
The only way to make sure you or a boot fitter...

A few sizing tipp ... as since a few pages I read only suggestions and recomendation about fitting...

1) So first and only tipp is... don't listen, read, ask any suggestion on what is the right...

Buy a pair of dynafit pants, some of them (the tighter of course ;-) ) come already with an area which is marked and reinforced so that it can be cut properly for the use with the TLT5 type of...

I would use the original liners, weight to performance ratio is way better than intuition. Plus getting your right shell size instead of a bigger one with a thicker liner will also most probably turn...
