Old pair of tele bindings, Cobra R8.
Money for a flat rate box and they are yours.
Thinking of heading up that way tomorrow. Anywhere I should be looking specifically?
Where are you/they?

I'm coming to the realization I will likely never ski again unless I move to the mountains or become self employed (likely in the mountains).
This fucklign sucks. I'm already over 45 hrs going...
I used a sharp utility knife to trim my skins, worked great.
I've never trimmed skins before.

Broke my finger last Thursday, Dr's appointment Friday and Monday fucked up the weekend VT plans. Might get out locally tomorrow.
Told the boss my stuff for our projects will be done by...
Really wish i had asked to see the images, didn't even think about it till after. I had minimal pain today, just very swollen and slightly tender. No pain during bending or squeezing of the tip.
Urgent care (our go to for work injuries) took xrays and said the tip is broken. Wish I had seen the pics, as the comments the tech made after the Dr. had reviewed them made it sound pretty bad.
Work, specifically the owner of the company, figured that since my finger is still fat, purple and kinda numb I should have it checked. Currently getting paid to sit @ urgent care. I picked the one...
Piece of carbon tube (stiff mother fucker!) kicked on the 12" miter saw. Good thing I ALWAYS keep my hands well away from the blade, or else this would have been really ugly.
I have some memory...
I managed to bang/smash my 3 middle fingers pretty good around 10:45 this morning. They all hurt pretty good right after, but i was able to curl my hand into a fist and finish what I was doing. When...
Revision to my OP: Need to weld 3/16".
Sounds like the 180+ class of machines
My big worry on 220v is that right now I have it available, but if I move I may not (I rent).
My gut says go to at least 180 Amps, as I hate running tools @ max capacity.
I've got some potential projects coming up:
Rack(s) for the truck
Rear bumper tire career
Rock Rails for the truck
I have skills to weld properly, was first...

How many TGR aliases (sp?) does the position entitle me to?
01-15-2013, 05:13 PM
Rooting for the same here.
As of right now, I have Friday and next Monday off. Based on the dissapearing act that the snow pulled, I might postpone this long weekend a bit.
01-10-2013, 05:25 AM
Maybe check the local snowmobile trails reports, they will at least tell you how much fresh has fallen in the surrounding areas.
What are you thinking of skiing? I'd love to get back up in that...

Thanks guys. In your opinions, given the current conditions, is it worth a 5+ hr drive and a couple hundred bucks?
I want to take a couple days of this month before a co-worker takes 2 weeks off...

How does this week's weather look for the Stowe/Smuggs area?
Thinking of taking next Monday/tuesday off from work and heading out there Late Friday.

Assuming that is what I think it is, check out Sleeping In The Back of The Xterra
I crashed in mine 2 nights last fall, no platform though.

Got to get out there and get myself out of this single/nearly broke/depressed funk I have been in.
12-29-2012, 04:06 PM
PM me with some details, I think I know the general area, just not the details.
You guys are going to be hung over Monday, or Tuesday? Monday is NYE, and I have to fucking work all day, otherwise...

12-27-2012, 05:32 PM

Anyone have a lead on cheap places to stay near 2' of fresh and mountains?
12-27-2012, 05:03 PM
Co-woker called dibs on Monday off already, somewhat rightfully so, as I had yesterday off. Now I work tomorrow, Monday and have tuesday off.
Really flirting with the idea of heading...
Did the tyrolias on the skis as they only needed a small tweak.

Report from SR today: "firm" and packed with Asian tourists skiing in jeans.
Debating the 2 hr drive to the loaf. Gotta be back in town (and cleaned up) for family festivities at 5pm.
^I wear one as well, carrying h2o, a snack and an extra layer. I hate stopping for lunch, and around here it is common to have sun in one area and biting wind and shade a few runs later.
12-22-2012, 02:31 PM
Mags more local then me: what looks better tomorrow, Sunday River or the Loaf?
Waiting to hear from sister who workable at SR, but last I heard was rain in the past few days...

Looking for a set of Dukes or Barons in good condition. Alpine BSL is 324mm, so Large duke or Small/Large Baron will work.
12-16-2012, 10:01 AM
Kinda my thoughts with the setup. Life has kept me of skis the past 2( shit, is it really 2?) years. I just need to get out there at this point.
