since you're already in the area, try to go touring in the susten area once it warms up. it's high and north facing. unfortunately the huts aren't open yet, but you may into the winter room of the...

simplon had absolutely no base (less than 60-70% of long term average) before that. i would not recommend going there.

i case youre into climbing/bouldering right now: you should check out the ticino bouldering in cresciano/chironico and ski in andermatt the netx day.
