Bah bah. Went to Paris for a week and when I came back everything was blown to pieces. I had hoped that the low temperatures would have kept the snow good, but the wind's been destroying pretty much...

Wish we'd have treeskiing like that on this side of the pass. The runs tend to be a bit short and the trees too many ;)

After yesterday's awesomeness, today was really sucky in comparison in Gerlos/Königsleiten. The wind and high temperatures had whipped everything into .. manky crust. Higher up, where sheltered areas...

Today was quite alright, 10 - 50 cm of super light pow on top of a crust. Deep enough in most places we skiied!

They finally opened all the lifts today so making it up to the alpine was a bit easier ;)

Zillertal delivered again today, although access to runs that were higher up were limited due to bad visibility and high winds. Should be getting better tomorrow..

Maybe 40-50 cm of new snow, at some places lots more, in Zillertal. Visibility was naturally pretty bad, but for my second day here (and the second day of the season for me), it was really pretty...

Yeah, the föhn really ruined it for us during our three week trip last March in the Zillertal area. Looks like it'll be on on Wednesday again, but hopefully the storm (!?) coming in after that...

Really stoked to see the base building up! Let's just hope the föhn doesn't ruin everything. Less than four weeks to go to my own 3 month trip ;)

Planning on spending three months in Austria, located in Krimml / Gerlos. Gerlos and the Zillertal area will be the home mountain - both the Tirol skipass as well as the Salzburg skipass cover this...

Looks like it doesn't work anymore. Well, damn. The forecast had normal precip for France / Switzerland, higher than normal for most of Austria and super high for eastern Europe.
