okay...for the out. i guess i can see that...but don't you miss the extra glide you might get by being able to pressure the front of the cuff/tongue?
it's kinda like telemark. those guys are...
do you guys really find the need for this? if so...under what circumstances?
i have a simple cord-based mod, not quite the same as the above, that allows me to close the cuff, but not go to...
i think you will find that occasionally, the small variances in production exceed the small tolerances of the dynafit system...and there will be play/slop/vertical movement in the heel pins.
i...
yup...found some instability today as well.

yes...this sucks, bigtime! and it sounds like there is at least one person that is potentially seriously injured.
i just copied the timeline from the JHN&G...but this is what is known so far. ...
i like pairing shorter skis 170-178cm (up to about a waist of ~110-115mm) with the TLT5s. using bigger skis with the TLT5s will stress them more than intended and i think they would explode quickly...
has anyone experimented with trying to seal off the inside area of the acti-flex section (maybe with duct-tape) to make the TLT5s warmer?
i'm finding, even with intuition liners, my toes are still...
i love videos like this. that dude is so fucking psyched!
someone sent me this email...
"Found in the Coal Creek parking lot on Saturday February 4th, 4 PM, black camera in case. Call to identify and claim. 208-456-3556"
thanks for the skin-track...
try messing with the canting adjustment.
i think tweaking the upper cuff can sometimes effect the alignment of the pin.
man, i would think so...but i'm not certain.
i know they are still being offered on the order form and are on the dynafit price-list for next season.
i will ask the PR dudes to find out if...
you can totally still get vert st and ft...but you can't get the 5-screw speed classics anymore.
edit: i'm wondering if you are on dynafit's international site...as opposed to the NA version. ...
pretty much always ski them locked...unless the avy hazard is extremely high. also, no brakes or leashes.
rarely, if ever, ski the resort with my dynafit rigs.
Wind can break snow crystals making them more abrasive like colder snow....so I would say that it can definitely effect what wax you use.

managed to tip-toe up wimpys. some freaky feeling snow underfoot at times, but no settling, and laid the skin track up in the safest zones possible. skiing was quite good, wind effected in spots,...
thermarest and msr mini-works filter still available.
...
i'm pretty sure it was a line more to the looker's left heading into the last slide path on the skier's right. you can see a track above the big crown at about tree level on the left horizon. looks...
i think it had more to do with hitting the sweet spot...than the temps. small, deliberate trigger in the pocket, caused the rest to go...BIG!
i guess my answer is that at times (like now?) we never really know how big a slide will run. maybe not the best choice for the day and location, but all that stuff is hard to remember when it's...
i'm not with you on this one.
granted all ops should be safely done. BUT, I don't see the problem with taking 1 hour to rescue a person from the top of mount ely with a heli, compared to...
i found out a little more about that taylor slide.

bump for epic powder dump in jackson.
for more sizing reference...i normally wear a 26/26.5 dynafit(+bd) shell which is typically a bsl of 297-300... with intuitions...the 27 tlt5 shell works perfect because it is 297mm. there is no...

selling a pair of 2010 Black Diamond Megawatts 188cm. probably ~10 days on these. a couple resort days...the rest backcountry. ...
not a whole lot...mainly just hunting for good snow with photog. plan A turned to plan B which turned to plan C...and in the end we turned around <100' from the lower saddle due to some wind-slab...
what was up with that skin track? did you guys get lost in the dark? ;)
snow in the north fork was awesome. wild how shitty the hourglass still looks.
care to share any photos of the...
just like with the TLT5s...the carbon version will be stiffer than the non-carbon version.
think of it this way...the one is a hybrid TLT5 and green machine...while the vulcans are a hybrid TLT5...
i saw photos and got the low-down from the dynafit PR guys yesterday...but didn't get anything in print or take notes.
i think the mercury is the non-carbon version of the vulcan...and maybe made...
yes...the vulcan is the hoji boot.
above 11.5k' in glacier gulch.
not much to report avy-wise in that area.

no snow doc...but i'd think we'd be looking for some bonding and strengthening of the snowpack above the facets...to create a bridge and stronger layer so the facet layer isn't effected.
yeah, it...
