Nice work, glad to see you out there on top of the world again.
It was time for Mrs dbldmnd to to get a new set of wheels. After much research and test driving, we ended up buying a used 2002 Audi S6 avant. It's got the 4.2 with 340 hp and auto, as this was her...
Nice vid. The dbldmnd family was there for the week, squaw is an amazing mountain. dbldmnd jr2 came in 15th in LM on friday and 7th in ladies duals on sunday. She was very pumped to make the top 8...
As others say, Denver to Vegas is 11-12 hours w/o weather on the I70/15 route. I did Boulder to Santa Barbra in 1 long day last summer with 2 drivers and we made Vegas in 11 hrs.
What kind of 03 Subie? If it's a WRX, I have the factory uppipe, down pipe, and complete exhaust (including cats) availabble from a few WRX's that I have parted out.
Great video! You even got the contact between kashima and parkinson. The kids were skiing in the event so I took a bunch of pics and video over the week. It was a great time and Squaw did a good job...
Nice! I was goofing around in some WP trees last weekend, but it is real boney in there.
Bklyn, I could spin a few laps if you are around on sat. Mrs dbldmnd is coaching and the jrs have training.
I've got a tele setup that my kids have out grown, so it's time to pass it on. The details are:
-Elan SCX Stiletto 133 cm, previously drilled
-Rottetella Junior cable bindings with risers, the...
Damn you TD, the card couldn't stay in the wallet long, sick birds are on the way.
Beautiful doggie! I would be very careful with Kiska off leash, they like to run. I had my husky for over 15 years and everything the others have said was true. They are very independent, smart and...
Nice TR B, looks like great fun. And 79 pics were fine to show the details of your adventure, I enjoyed them.
Nice!! Great footy showing some familiar stuff from the Jane on a fine day. And to think I spent 17 hrs driving to/from Purgatory last weekend to ski boilerplate groomers and rock hard bumps, ughh.
Many competitors do off axis airs all the time. Even at the Jr level, there is a bunch of people doing cork 7's, d-spins, etc.
Check out skidebosses for some world cup mogul. Here is David Babic...
Aldo - Ahh urq stoke, I can dig through this years ice driving pics and throw up a few for ya.
R - Thanks for the additional info, I figured it would be a local someone, who represents the soul of...
With all the family/kid stoke around, I might as well join in. The dbldmnd family headed to tellurride for the rkymt divisional mogul champs this past weekend. I had never skied telluride before and...

Check out the leading edge class at the SBDC in Boulder or Longmont. It's a 10 week class that covers the basics. Their goal is for you to have some type of business plan at the end of the series....
I'm glad you're on the mend. The clot thing sucks. I never had the bleeding or bruising issues.
When I had my calf clot and PE, I was also put on warfin/cumadin aka rat poison. I swear that stuff...
Hi Buzz,
I'm at 22 months post op of a repair for a complete ACL tear. No other damage was in the knee, ACL was just gone. I went for the hammy replacement, as that is what the doc was most...
As other have mentioned:
- keep opening lower than floor to maintain heat, think beaver dam type entrance
- have a curved / dome shape on the inside ceiling
- make sure ceiling is higher than you...
Great TR with some awesome detailed pics of an area I look at every day from my backyard. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome TR!!
I'll also give a big thumbs up to FOBP. I was in the total BC newbie/jong group with Justin as the facilitator, he did a great job covering the BC fundamentals and I learned alot. Books and...
Yoss, I signed up for the FOBP session this sunday but never received a confirmation e-mail, should I show up or is it full?
Thanks for the notice. Sunday does look like it will be cold. See ya next time.
I stayed at the Green Drake in Basalt last weeked, nothing fancy. I paid $110 for 1 nite with a queen bed/futon/tiny kitchen. A few places I called wanted a 2 nite minimum, so this place did ok. The...
It's possible when you have a family too. My wife usually goes over 50 days and so do the kids. Even my 9 year old daughter got in over 50 days, including many days of skiing with MBSC :) . I'm a...
For the bumper enthusiast, here is a pretty cool article on the uphill migration of moguls from data collected last season at Mary Jane. Don't miss the video that shows the movement.

Mrs dbldmnd has had some pain on the outside of her left ankle/calf for the past 8 months. It hasn't gotten better and finally this fall she went to the doctor to find the problem. After x-rays, PT,...
I'm down with LB on Owl Creek Pass. If you've got the time, it is a very pretty drive. The views into the uncompahgre are great. An allroad will handle this route no problem.
After I tore my ACL, I did find teleing easier on the knees. Mixing in tele with downhill allowed me finish out the season with a bum knee. Last year after the surgery, I ended up teleing about half...
Wow, I know MBSC, she's the mogul coach for my daughter Kelly. Happy B-Day!!

I've had dedicated snows on my 99 suburban for the past few years and they do make noticable difference. I use some no-name (Cooper?) something or other with a bunch of sipes. They're a good...
I thought the car enthusiasts around here would enjoy a video of the annual trek my friends and I make to the ice driving mecca in Steamboat. It's great 4 wheel drive fun on 12 inches of ice and no...
Nice! It's been great up there.
I popped mine Dec 29 04. I knew I did something, but it took 3 months for them to figure out my ACL was gone. They said I had too much stability for a torn ACL. Finally the MRI showed it was fully...
Good luck with the repair. I had the hammy done last may and I've been back at it for 6 weeks, no brace, no support, no nothing. I'm pushing harder every week and it is holding together. Don't slack...
Ahhh, "aerospace engineering" and "weekends off" are sometimes mutually exclusive, btdt...
Buster, I've got a 2001 A4 1.8tq wagon now w/ 45k on it, I bought it in Nov 03 w/ 24k. Flew out to SLC and drove it home. It's been a great car w/ no problems, just normal oil changes. Well they did...
What are the dates for lynx season again?
Maybe you guys are getting a special deal? I know I payed the $45 when I was there.
I was up at the ramps a few weeks ago with the kids. You need the USSA membership, $45 yearly fee(per person) to the SSWSC and your daily jump fee. I think $30 gets you on the ramp and tramp. It's...
It's finally here, I've put 3 years of my life into this mission and it's really happening. Last night the impactor separation went as planned so it's on for tonight. Fingers crossed...
Alta 3/21-3/25, It was like a dream. I think the total for the week was 85 inches and on friday 3/25 with the collins offline, our last run down the frontside was deep, awesome, amazing. We then...
I have got a similar set of incisions and I had the hammy procedure.
I was off crutches on day 6 and haven't looked back. No crutches and no brace. They wanted me to do full weight bearing asap....
Well, things could have gone better and they could have been alot worse.
I had the surgery May 3, used the EBI cold therapy iceman machine to keep the swelling down and it worked great. My...
I tore my ACL last december, but my knee was too stable and they didn't think it was torn. Finally after a few months it was still hurting, so I had an MRI to confirm that it was torn.
From...
Thanks for all the supporting words, I've found the info in this forum great for bringing me up to speed on my injury and my options.
I'm going in tomorrow to get the knee fixed up. The doc will...
After 3 months my knee was still feeling funny and I went in for an MRI. It turns out that I have a full tear of the ACL, partial tear of PCL and some partial meniscus damage. I'm going in tomorrow...
