MFD Alltimes mounted with Pivot 14 XXL here.
Now that everything is mounted. I cant understand why I stressed over the decision. Cant deny the weight, but that was'nt so high on my list.
Just finished putting this together for next winter.
Look Pivots on MFD Alltimes
Not the lightest AT set-up, but has to be up there with the burliest. Those...
Recieved my Pivot 14s yesterday, together with some Fat-ypus I-Rocks. Have to say my inner gear whore was pretty darn excited.
Recieved my MFD plates today. Such a simple, yet beautifully made...

Found some Look Pivot 14s on clearance, as well as some cheap MFDs (189 USD). So the desicion was made for me. Verses the Dukes, it seemed like much of a muchness to me.
At least this way if I...

Some great input here. Cheers.
Probably going to go with Dukes, pending more info (price + availiblilty) of the other beef AT bindings.
Then look into focused touring ski plus tech binding...

The fact that you can get the radical FT 12s with 130mm brakes off the shelf. As opposed to buying almost any other AT binding and needing to buy wide brakes as an extra. Is what makes them a come in...

I'm personally not too worried about over powering the binding. I'm an intermediate blouse. I'm not really worried about groomer performance either. No binding is going to make the lame skier +...

How did this go?
I have some I-rocks on the way, and am looking at options. I need a reliable resort binding, and stupid as it might sound, I would like to do the odd rare tour on them (cant...
Having a moment of doubt, and may go the the Salomon guardians for the lower stand height. The Dukes are a lot shorter though, and I worry about messing with the flex of the ski (heavily rockered 176...
Spot on. Less thingie majigies to go wrong too.
What I should of added, is a desire to future proofing my boots. I may put together a lighter touring set-up in the near future. So wanted the tech...
I'd be buying a NIB binding so thats me sorted.
Looking at buying a pair of Titans. Mostly for resort use, together with dukes, with some short stints into the side country to find powder. Obvious question....
...is it worth getting the UL. I...
Looking for a 2013 Duke EPF template. Guess I'm a touch early.
Great resource by the way!

Considering this as a 2 ski quiver.
Fat ypus I-rock 176, dukes
Fat ypus L-toro 172, Plum guide
I was planning on putting a medium weight touring set-up together to cover everything. Nomads, plums, and BD Primes, was the sort of set-up I was planning.
Got sucked into the whole rockered...
What would be bindings would people look at, for such a light yet fat ski. I'm thinking Duke. Seems the obvious chioce
But the lightness of the skis, makes something lighter like a silvetta pure...
My Nordic walking skis are probably heavier TBH. They are 50 year old hand me downs, that I havent gotten round to replacing. They are also much too long for me. So I'm used to having the turning...
I guess I definitly need the floatation in the soft stuff, at my weight.
I'm thinking the effective carving edge is pretty short on these skiis too.
and I should be able...
Exciting new question from me.
Sorry dull question I know. I'm 5'7", which points to the 174. But I'm also 185lbs which points to the 183.
I'd run Dukes for versitility. I dont...
