We went up to Diamond this past weekend.

We topped out at 10,600' and skied to the base of meadows (5,200' I think), so it was over 5,000 ft.

Between Oakridge and Bend, there's Waldo Lake. It's a nice ride cross-country if you go around the lake and the water is super clear. Very cold water, but refreshing. Nice campsites too.
