I'm pretty clueless about the local geography. If I head up the canyon and park at the white pine trailhead, are you nearby?

The Uintas were (was?) a bust. I saw some ribbons of snow up high but nothing beyond patches by the highway. Since I don't know my way around, I didn't feel like hiking in. Pretty drive, though.

Let me hijack this thread east by 50 miles or so. I heard there's still a lot of snow in the Uintas near Camp Steiner. I've never been out that way. Is anybody up for a day trip Thursday or Friday...
