Personally i prefer the Vulcans over the titans, I m only 60kg so maybe not a "reference" but i find it plenty stiff (to me stiffer than titans and with a more even flex pattern) and it walks tons...

That's downhill mode i mean. (for the ski out feel)
The uphill is at a level no other boot this stiff ever approached.

I hade the mobe, to me the skiing is even better on the vulcan, (more progressive forward flex).
To have ski more than 100 days on the TLT5P (quiet a few with intuition liners aldo i think it lacks...

the boot skis like a dream, drives pon2oons with ease. touring is nice, almost as nice as TLT5.

It is a long hike in and out yes... I went up quasi the same route as a recon effort for snow quality (availability...) on the descent..

well, after over 40 days on the TLT5 Perfo my opinion didn't change: AWESOME!

I m 62kg / 1m78, skiing virtually every day, professionally or for myself, in all sort of snow and the boot performs...

i find the actiflex to be barely noticeable in dh mode. and just the right amount of flex in walk mode.

After 10 days skiing the TLT5Perfo, I can only stand by my first toughts: THEY KICK ASS!

I think they would loose in perfo both with sizing up and changing to a standard liner (without "back bellow")
as long as you re moving (wich you should in the BC.) n problem t all with cold.

I skied them on hard packed snow with the Hardsides and it performed well enough for me. i mean as good as my (now old....) zzeroc4 would have (with a tornado thong to harden them.) keep in mind i m...

hahah pretty true, but one doing so mights till be skiing in a scarpa laser.. we ren't even skiing the new boots that we re looking forward to new stuff... enjoy the moment! easy to say i know.. ;-)

funny enough, i would have said: please get rid of the swappable soles in the new ones and make them lighter...;-)

many AT people is very conservative here in europe (fritschi and silvretta are still on sale, fi ). So the TLT5 is probably too much innovative for a lot of randonneurs.... but maybe I'm...

i ski the zzero in the forward angle as well and so far haven t really noticed, or at least ad a bad feeling, wit the different angle in the perfo.

to be perfectly honest, i may have to say that i m so amped bout the TLTS that i may be a bit biased. will need to ski them a bit more and in poorer conditions to realy say if they "beat" zzeros....

i found the zzero to be a bit soft fore aft yes so i skied them with a scarpa tornado black tong. it was better but still not as good, to me, (as far as control goes) as the TLT5 perfo....

To me they ski better than my zzero but im 60kg. I skied 3 seasons with the zzero c and would say that the TLT5's "performance" fit fit me better.

2) As I said, I am looking to do long tours in the Adirondacks on skinny skis, and ski mountaineering. The F1's seem very comfortable for long, all day tours. Will I sacrice all-day comfort...

Skied the boots again, have to confirm my earlier impressions... they rock! skied on packed and wind affected powder in Saas Fee.
i wear a 27.5 as in ANY other AT boots.

ok, so i skied the TLT5 Performance this morning. First of all a should say that the slope was'nt that steep and the 25 cm of powder did'nt made any bad.. Ideal conditions then.

But He i m sold!!...

Havin tried plastics and carbons i would say that you can't compare the stifness..

i wear 27.5 in all of my boots. even the TLT5, the feel tight up on the foot but nothing a good liner cooking cant fix.
to me part of the appeal is that the BSL is as small as my sportiva batura...

technically those dynafit TLT 5 liners are Palau..

i m WAY too bad at cooking to attempt cooking my liners ;-)

will probably ski at the week end!

mainly K2 hardside (4 steep) and K2 wayback (4 work with clients, cham zermatt type of stuff..) but i ve got the whole range up with dynafits so will try coomback and darksides as weel for fun at...

nice liner, but the TLT5 are expensive enough for me ;-) and the stock liner is fine IMO

i would nt change the liner since the Dynafit has this nice bellow in the back that allow you to flex it backwards when hicking.. REALLY nice..

Just go my TLT5 performance today... very surprised at how stiffer the feel than what i tought / expected...
will have to cook the liner still and then go for a test run in probably a week of time....
