Long range forecasts has an epic hurricane swell filling into the East Coast on July 18th and slow fading on July 27th, ya heard it here first.

NW windswell today, 2-3' with occasional + at top breaks. Paddled out for 45 minutes and caught a few fun ones, kinda backed off and not much push but pretty empty so it was fun.

Surfline seems to be hyping this swell with their photos from Tahiti, especially Alex Gray's quote on the 2nd photo and also 25th. He claims it's as big as the code red swell.

I'm far from a forecaster but checking out the updated wave models the storm looks pretty good for another early season...

Current wave model shows seas in the 38-40' range. Few smaller systems forming behind it over the next 100+ hours on the forecast models.

Pt Loma Buoy at 4.5'@16, negative low tide pushing in right now. Gonna drive north to a trestles-like left to see if I can out paddle the crowd for a few set waves, wish me luck.

Ebomb is what I was surfing with the other day ottime, it's been a good suit. No major complaints. That said, the fbomb is more comfortable and warmer, but pricier.
