I have had bad experiences with Patagonia just not being very durable. This is with soft shells and gloves. Their casual clothes seem well made but $$$. We have had the high end...

Pozidrives are pretty weak sauce to start with. Torx bits are way easier to find. No personal experience with the specific screws that Dynafit provides.

All my bindings are mounted with hex drive...

We can get sun crusts almost any time of year if conditions are right. Worst case is high thin cloud that traps the heat.
